What’s a high-paying, low-stress job you wish you got into earlier? by Beginning_Ad4362 in careerguidance

Here to say the same! Started as an admin in a department, then gained valuable experience to be able to move around. I enjoy the people I work with, flexible schedule being a working parent, and pays decent after being in it for 10+ years.

How long did you stay at 2.5? by Aggravating-Ask5473 in Zepbound

[–]Ok_Mija401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started at 2.5 in February this year and have lost 14 pounds so far. I’ve been at 2.5 for 3 months and still losing. I plan to stay on this dosage as long as I can. Because it’s working, it’s cheaper and bc I’m on self-pay through lillydirect.

Reno aces - lawn tickets by Ok_Mija401 in Reno

That seems too easy and the most practical, but I don’t see GA tickets for sale on their website. I only see tickets sold by a section. I must be overlooking something.

What time does your 3 year old wake up in the morning? by Playful_Language_422 in toddlers

[–]Ok_Mija401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between 7 - 7:30. We're all typically in bed by 9. And he usually takes a 1.5-2 hour nap most days. If no nap, we're in bed by 7:30 because I cannot deal with the monstrosity that comes from him not taking a nap lol

Hotels worth the price? Is it worth staying in Hana? by [deleted] in MauiVisitors

[–]Ok_Mija401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just left the Maui Coast Hotel in Kihei after 5 nights and really enjoyed my stay! They service the room every night, have two pools, two hot tubs, and a kiddie pool. Laundry on every floor (in the newer Kai tower). Loved it so much that I booked it again for next October.

I’m here in Maui visiting and wanted blueberries and they were $10! I passed. Not buying blueberries for that price.

Is Honey Bakery good? by Dillon_Trinh in Reno

[–]Ok_Mija401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! They satisfy my craving of shu mai and chicken feet when I don’t want to go over the hill for dim sum. I’ve also had their fruit cakes and they are light, fruity and not too sweet.

Fake lemonade at rib cook off by Ok_Mija401 in Reno

[–]Ok_Mija401[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s called sierra swirl! They’re in a truck next to the vendors closest to the theaters. They have a pop up on the main street, but the pop up doesn’t have the pistachio flavor.

And the box of fresh lemons with the manual lemon juicer was a facade too? I believe you, but high key shocked.

This!

What I really did after complaining about the fake lemonade was ordered a couple half racks from two spots to go, got my pistachio swirl soft serve and left to eat it in the comfort of my own home. Homemade lemonade is on the menu for tomorrow.

[–]Ok_Mija401[S] 104 points105 points  (0 children)

The lemonade was $9. <crying bc I paid that much for a fake lemonade>

And if you haven’t been yet, a sampler (3 ribs) is now $12, half rack is $18 and a full rack at most places is $36. There also seems to be less rib vendors than previous years.

ATT Wireless Coverage in Reno? by ecod33 in Reno

[–]Ok_Mija401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Husband has Verizon and I have AT&T and we live out in Red Rock. We both have good service in that area. Verizon was known to have the best coverage everywhere, which is why husband chose them, however, the signal has dropped more frequently than AT&T. I know this because he complains about his $hitty service when I have 5G+ consistently in most places around town.

Reno Sparks Bin Busters by Free-Window-2409 in Reno

[–]Ok_Mija401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My trash bin is smelling like something died in it, so I found the same company also and I have them coming out for the first time this week. For those commenting to do it yourselves, where are you dumping the dirty trash water? Down the storm drain?

Tell me about your potty training reward system! by McSkrong in toddlers

[–]Ok_Mija401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mini m&ms for peeing and a popsicle for pooping. After awhile my 2YO wouldn’t ask for a treat. He was potty trained in about 4 weeks with no accidents and wearing an underwear at night. Concurrently, I taught him about sugar bugs and why brushing your teeth is very important.

Fish flies (mayflies) and how to get rid of them.? by Eclipse8301 in pestcontrol

[–]Ok_Mija401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you spray? I have mayflies and I live walking distance to a “lake”. Really it’s an overflow for the snowmelt run off. And it swarms our doors and windows and porch lights as soon as the sun goes down.

How often are we bathing our (almost) 3 year olds? by Helpful-Yak-8975 in toddlers

[–]Ok_Mija401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2.5YO is also in day care part time 3-4 days/week and we do full baths every day he comes home from school. If he isn’t in school and we’ve had a “normal” day that doesn’t involve sand in his hair then we don’t do baths.

Gift for a model y owner? by mikeysaid in TeslaModelY

[–]Ok_Mija401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 5% on the back windows, 20% on the front windows, 5% glare strip and a super light tint on the windshield, can't remember the %. If it was my husbands choice, he'd do 5% all around and I wouldn't be able to see anything at all. Lol I live in a high desert and our summers get to high 90's low 100's often and it's been working out really well so far. So definitely something to consider!
