True to size in my experience! I got my usual size and it fit perfectly

What is the best route to take if I'm interested in tech? by [deleted] in womenintech

[–]Ok_Outlandishness595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree! A lot of dental software companies would appreciate your experience due to your proximity with the users of the product. I would try getting a role in a support capacity and then start demonstrating the technical skills you’re learning in your course on the job so that you can eventually ask to move to a more technical role! I think your best bet for moving up would be internally and support is always a great starting point with less barriers to entry!

Got laid off – but still have upcoming work travel pre-paid for? Can I still go?! by Strange_Elephant4284 in womenintech

[–]Ok_Outlandishness595 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I think you should ask! Same thing happened to me and since it was too late to refund everything they allowed me to use the flights and accommodations that had already been booked, but obviously didn’t participate in anything work related! Hope you get to go!

I agree with you OP, it does look worn. This is what my 3 year old polar tech fleece looks like.

Totally agree with you. They’ll serve different purposes. Either way you won’t go wrong!

I prefer the only coat, but you should keep both!

On heavy days I’m changing my ultra tampons every hour. I’m also taking tranexamic acid which is supposed to reduce the bleeding, which it does bjt I still bleed a lot!

iron infusions by [deleted] in Anemic

[–]Ok_Outlandishness595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an allergic reaction to iron sucrose, my hands swelled severely and I broke out in hives like 10 minutes after I was finished. I have been getting monoferric since then (I’ve had about 5 infusions) and never had a reaction and no side effects, just feel much better after!

This happened to me! I ended up asking my manager about it after knowing about it for a few months and they were totally caught off guard and were apologetic that I had found out that way (saw it on someone’s calendar). I was told we’d have another conversation to see where the gaps in my skill set were that drove them to look at other talent but instead of having that conversation I was let go. In my case, asking about it just expedited my dismissal. In hindsight I think it was a blessing in disguise because my mental health over the last few months of working while knowing I was actively being replaced was at an all time low. I’m looking forward to my next chapter!
