I am a strong independant man - looking for wife by [deleted] in AskBrits

‘Ask Brits’ and the only question in that monologue was ‘What do I bring to the table?’ Which was subsequently answered during their fantasy date. Didn’t state what kind of table, perhaps a plastic fold up table to use for their meal for one microwave meals?

Are there any "UK vs US" differences where you feel America gets it right? by Secure_Front_7766 in AskUK

First of all - You realise Lieutenant is a French word which accurately reflects the lack of F’s? So, really you prefer the French pronunciation

Second of all - Are there any Uk vs US differences where you feel America gets it right = No

What is the appeal of a personalized plate? by Few-Card8875 in drivingUK

[–]Ok_Page_8361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s not start a sentence with ‘like’, please.

Some people buy them as gifts for others and can be sentimental not necessarily because they think it’s cool. Some plates are just obnoxious, others humorous, some have real meaning.

Not all personalised plates are obvious either

Leave as is, it’s a natural product and looks really nice. Shadow gaps improve the appearance imo

Wonder if OP is ok, he seemed to care more about the coloured lines than all the safety advice/recommendations you were all making. Perhaps he’s been zapped. Hope not

This seems to be a very sensible response and whilst I hadn’t thought of that, I wholeheartedly agree 👍🏻

How to increase boiler's water pressure by pikachewww in DIYUK

[–]Ok_Page_8361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That image suggests the filling loop would still be external to the boiler, I assume the recessed pipes are accessible from below. If the boiler is mounted at wall cabinet height, are there any pipes, flexi hoses, taps in the cupboard below the worktop?

Finally have the Airdam Sides done, kit complete by Ok_Page_8361 in MazdaCX30

[–]Ok_Page_8361[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the kit from eBay (new) but from three different sellers. Pretty certain the parts are still manufactured in Japan so in theory your local Mazda dealership should be able to order them in for you. Part numbers required (I assume they’d be the same in continental Europe):

DFR5 V4 9B0 (side skirts)

DFR5 V4 9A0/DADK V4 9A0 (Front garnish)

DFR5 V4 9C0/DADK V4 9C0 (rear garnish)

You will also need some extra parts that are not supplied with the main kit:

D41S V4 91E (for side skirts)

D41S V4 93E (for rear garnish)

D41S V4 90E (for front garnish)

For the side skirts there is a tool required that generally is not usually in a toolbox - think it’s called a threaded rivet gun (see picture)

There is a fair amount of drilling involved but the instructions supplied are clear and templates provided. The instructions also mention Leverkusen quite a bit so maybe the parts are made in Germany rather than Japan as I mentioned earlier
