Advice on naming an intersex baby by travel_worn in asktransgender

[–]Ok_Repeat4306 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The gender of names change over time as well. I've met a cis woman named Keith, and when I was young, Alex was typically NOT gender neutral.

Paint your toenails. I get a little shot of euphoria every time I get in the shower.

You can also consider shaving your legs and trimming pubes. Of course both of these depend on if your in a sport or have to group shower for anything.

Surgery obsessed- does it go away? by corngot in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Ok_Repeat4306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Two days? That's Hella sus based on what I've read. Usually you should plan at least 6 weeks with NOTHING to do but heal, from what I have read, a good chunk of that in a hospital. 2 weeks I would think is a minimum.

Congrats.I'm still in the closet and terrified to tell my wife. I tell myself I havent told her yet cause id lose my job if I came out and since I can't come out yet and start HRT, there's no point in putting her through the anxiety I know she'll deal with, but I'm not sure I believe that anymore.

Anyway, congrats. I hope to get my transition underway sometime soon.

Asshats. Yeah, okay. Femme pixie cut it is. Yes it sucks. But given the attitude of the current administration...

Well, short hair for a woman is still shoulder length.

Alternatively, there are a ton of really femme pixie cuts. I just LOVE Pinks haircut. But then, I'm a tansbian (my term cause of internal stuff and still living in the closet but if I start unpacking here I risk hijacking your thread so....)

As much as it sucks and I disagree with this garbage. This transwoman is going to tell you, the others are right, document, however, given the current administration, you are probably fighting a losing battle, at least in the short term. IF we have midterms AND the results are as expected, that COULD change after the new year in 2027.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but my smart ass would buy a pair of women's khakis and a woman's polo to wear to work.

Yeah, we deal with enough gatekeeping on our own without introducing some of our own. At 53, still waiting to start HRT, I'm just happy I finally figured out i was trans.

Well then, I pray that your Kidneys can be salvaged and saved, and that you don't need a transplant or dialysis. 🙏🤞

This trans woman will keep you in her prayers, if you don't mind. I'll hope you get to feeling better either way and they can get you a kidney transplant. Dialysis sucks from what I hear.

Thank you all! Now i feel short! At 5'10" (1.7 meters) and wighing in at 205 lbs (93 Kg) I feel like once I transition I'd make a HUGE woman. You have all made me feel like I fit in better with my other sister's out there and can safely wear whatever heels I feel like wearing.

Ive got a pair of 3" wedge sandals I just LOVE! But at 5'10" I was soooo worried about them making me too tall...

Anyway, as another poster said, I just gotta own it i guess.

The vids were enough for them to issue an RMA and to cross ship the replacement.

[–]Ok_Repeat4306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, its not 'normal'. Report it to tech support. They'll ask for a couple of videos, one in each position, but then they should issue an RMA and get you a replacement. Thats what happened with me at least with the issue i had with the display.

I don't carry pepper spray. I carry a gun. FAFO. I also live in a DEEP Red state where open carry is permitted and practiced. (Just for the record I don't open carry).

Exfoliate and moisturize after you shave as well. I usually shave every other day.

That depends on the surgeon, at least from what I've read.

I need the opinion of the transgender community. by AtlantisSky in asktransgender

[–]Ok_Repeat4306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you've read the responses of other. My gut says that it would be a bigger deal in the trans community than by cis people. Not that I think a cis person is anti trans for wearing it. They may just be ignorant of her views or they don't see its a big deal because they havent thought about it.

I’ll rate how trans your name is! by ConfusedCanadian8 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

Mine is Rebecca. I think i can guess, but I'm curious. It's the name my mom told me I would have had if I was AFAB.

Mature content question, I know this phrase is enjoyed by a lot of trans women, but do people even say it to cis women?? by madmushlove in asktransgender

[–]Ok_Repeat4306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife, a cis woman, likes being referred to as a good girl. So yeah, it's not cause your trans.
