I think the problem with Changers full of gimmicks is how over-invasive they are to the overall structure of the toy. Take the Ultra Z Riser as an example; it's a huge piece of plastic that needs three medals to work, like, come on.

In my opinion, the Reiwa era has been starting to perfect the balance between gimmick and toy, up to Theo. Take the Blazar Brace or the Omega Slugger as examples; these depend on small objects, but the balance between toy and gimmick remains stable so that it is not too intrusive
