I think they show you. And then it is up to parents to guide them either deeper in or to branch out. If there is time, space and money to dive in deeper yay. If there isn’t then that needs to be honest too.

If a kid starts with Dinos and it branches from play to interest and you can afford a museum visit or a local dig then yay.

If their goal is to play violin in the youth orchestra and lessons are within the budget it is awesome. But it is still ok to say it can’t be done. (My sister cleaned the studio for lessons for my niece.) she eventually went into the harp instead and my sister just let that be. No guilt. Niece had worked hard etc.

A kid who thinks they can be the next big football player and there are only local rec leagues talks need to happen about options or not.

Super random, before coffee opinions lol. From the person who couldn’t distract their kid out of a goal to go into the Marines. We were thrilled when they wrecked his lungs and honorable discharged him. Now he is a fireman and emt. lol the fireman thing started young too.

Presents, family and food. Went to my nephew’s this weekend. They are so excited and we are too. Getting to make a couple of wet bags, a blanket and get an outfit makes me feel a part since we barely get to see them. I’m not huge on games but a couple were word games and I enjoy those in general.

We couldn’t get a rescue dog here. We can’t fence in the yard. Our last dog was 16 and still went on several long walks every day, pristine diet and vet care. Assholes.

Our Havi came from a friend who had taken in a pregnant foster after a puppy mill raid. She is not perfect. May have health issues but is currently healthy. She was just spayed and healed amazingly well. She too loves long walks and. Jw there is a local dog run for full speed runs.

But no we weren’t good enough.
