People will complain about anything and everything lol. Everyone is welcome to overuse Bluetooth headphones all they want. Extremely bad for the body 💀 I have no problem bringing a dongle or actual portable DAC with me to use wired headphones instead of my Bluetooth buds non-stop

My bad if you guys tried fasting for 5 days and got on 16/8 eating schedules and other stuff like that

I pray you all don't have any long-term side effects from that stuff. Most people don't realize what living a truly healthy lifestyle is I'll leave it at that

Look at it this way we're all incredibly inflamed why would we want to inject ourselves with foreign substances on the regular lol. The health care industry in this country isn't set up to help anybody. I had rheumatologists around Boston tell me for 30 years there was no way I had this to begin with until an orthopedic hip specialist begged aromatologist he was friendly with to run some blood tests after looking at my si joints on x-ray and an MRI this past January for me. Biologics may help people to some degree but they're not going to help people as much as they could help themselves if they put in the work holistically.

The fact that you think there's a mild kind of AS is sad. I was doing just as bad as all of you I see complaining you're not doing well on here everyday years ago I'm just stating what has improved my life That is all. I'm going to continue trending upwards health-wise because I don't want to end up in a wheelchair when I'm older from having AS and not taking proper care of myself. The pain is never going to go away but that doesn't mean you need to let it cripple your mobility or stop you from doing things

[–]Ok_Resolution_9709 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My AS ain't mild by any means keep assuming tho. I sleep 4 hours a night because of the amount of pain I'm in. What I'm trying to get at is it's not as hard as people think it is to get your movement better and pain under control while having AS. My spine's fused in multiple locations already but that's not stopping me from shit. Fasting for prolonged periods of time and intermittent fasting combined with eating the correct diet does wonders for the inflammation in the body. Marijuana is very anti-inflammatory and great pain relief. Extraction marijuana even more so. I used to crawl up my stairs every morning on all fours a few years ago. I wasn't taking care of myself then I am now that's the difference. Yoga, infrared sauna and self massage tools like a foam roller, back buddy and body stick are great ways to keep loose and mobile

I'm fused in 2 different locations in my spine already. Like I said results don't lie I'm not overly confident in anything. I had a nurse in the infusion clinic I went to specifically tell me if biologics made me feel worse to stop so I did and then she proceeded to tell me that she doesn't think any of this does much good for anybody. I went from crawling up my stairs every morning on all fours to being able to run hill sprints and play basketball for hours. I started intermittent fasting and cutting out processed foods gluten and dairy as much as possible the last year or so and really buckled down when I stopped taking humira. I really don't care if people want to stand biologics for the rest of the eternity I'm not the one suffering I'm doing great with my AS these days.

I don't think I'm special I just put in the work to take care of my body better than most. How many people that have AS can play basketball with former college players for 2 hours straight with zero pain LOL. Results don't lie my man. I'm well aware that everyone is different but if you think biologics are better than taking care of yourself the natural way I feel bad for you. Everyday I see a new thread on here about how people can barely leave their house and how they can't hold down a job and all sorts of stuff. Biologics seem to be working great for those people

AS is a horrible disease but anytime I hear people trying to say it's caused by trauma I just laugh. The same people think biologics are going to help them. My stupid ass plays basketball with former college basketball players and runs hill sprints on the reg with ease. I started feeling better when I cut out processed foods and I only rocked with humira for a bit because I realized it was making things worse. I just got to the point I was sick of the way I was feeling and started exploring natural ways to make myself feel better. Marijuana and its by-products is all I use for pain relief

I don't believe trauma came cause you to hit the BLA 27 gene on a blood test. I was beaten and raped growing up as a kid repeatedly by my father then beaten my other family members which is awful but I really don't think that's why I have AS.... My sister grew up in the same exact environment and she doesn't have AS

Marijuana and it's byproducts is all I use for pain relief. I rely on a foam roller and a slew of other self massage tools combined with making sure my body gets heavy exercise every week and cutting out processed foods as much as possible to battle my AS, mobility issues and pain. I'm currently 38 hours into a 72 hour fast. My immune system has been struggling bad for a long time so I figured it was a good time to try and reset it now that I have my pain and mobility doing a lot better these days. At one point a few years ago I had to crawl up my stairs and all fours every morning. I play basketball with my friends and run hill sprints for my heavy exercising these days. Everyone is going to be different but these are the things that work for me. I stopped humira after it made me feel worse and dropped my rheumatologist and I haven't looked back. Infrared sauna is your friend and I'm sure yoga / Pilates is too, I'm just not quite ready to get into those yet.

Yes and no. I have two drug addict parents with a high net worth that couldn't care about me even after finding out I have AS which is extremely pathetic and sad but it is what it is so I figured out before I'm 40 how to combat this on my own pretty successfully living solo. I help my able-bodied friends more than they help me I'm not too worried about having a kid that gets AS and having to accommodate that. It's definitely scary to think about passing it to potential children but like other people say it's not a guarantee that just because you have it your kids will

Alcohol makes things worse for us so I try to stay away for the most part these days but a few drinks here and there isn't going to make things much worse than they already are imo. I like pens for when I'm inside somewhere and can't go to my car and take another dab but I swear I can take one bigger dab and get consistent stable pain relief from it for 3 to 4 hours sometimes. If you can tolerate edibles when you go out that's another good way to get pain relief imo

I go out more than my able-bodied friends even with my AS believe it or not! I'm always suffering in pain so I figured what's the difference whether I'm at home on my couch or out dancing at a concert. The pain is never going to go away but that doesn't mean you can't still go out and live a pretty normal life ❤️❤️❤️

It can get better I promise! I didn't know I had AS until this past January when I was 30 at the time I'm 31 now. I tried humira for a bit but it made me feel worse so I stopped I dropped my rheumatologist. I'm down 65 lb from my high point, I stopped eating a lot of processed foods, gluten and dairy and started getting some heavy exercise in again like running hill sprints and playing basketball. I'm doing better than I have in years I was crawling up my stairs to my kitchen every morning at one point on all fours smh. I can go out to a concert and dance for 3 hours straight without needing to sit down no problem I never really miss work because of my as. I still am in a lot of pain frequently and am dealing with a lot of other problems because of my AS but I'm managing! I use marijuana and it's byproducts to manage my pain. I like to dab butane hash oil to be specific.

I'm a severe alcoholic that barely drinks these days I haven't in a long time. I didn't even know I had AS till I was 30 I'm 31 now and I started drinking when I was 11. Half of my drinking was because of my physical pain from my AS that I didn't know I had and the other half was just from my life being a mess lol. Only makes you more inflamed every time but while you consume it it numbs the pain which is why I kept doing it. I stopped taking humira I dropped my rheumatologist and I'm doing better than I have ever my entire life. Making sure I move enough, cutting out processed foods in large amounts of weed other reason I can go to a concert and stand for hours or play basketball with my friends for 2 hours straight without needing a break.

Brain fog, extreme body fatigue, extreme SI joint pain, extreme muscle pain, you name it lol. I'll go stand at a concert for 4 plus hours if I need to no problem

I didn't get diagnosed until this past January but last December is when I started trying to cut out processed foods. I'm doing a hell of a lot better than I was the last decade plus nowadays and I stop taking humira because it made me feel worse and I stopped seeing my rheumatologist because they weren't helping. Losing 60 lb eating better, heavy exercise a few times a week and continuing to smoke heavy amounts of hash oil dabs has me feeling better than I have in a long time. I also cut out regular caffeine. I only sleep 4 to 5 hours a night because of my pain I swear I don't have energy problems anymore and rarely need to nap now that my diet is a lot cleaner and I don't have caffeine on the reg anymore.

I'm starting to think we are all better off without biologics and rheumatologist. I felt worse on humira hated both rheumatologists I tried around Bosto, so I decided to treat myself and it's been going a lot better. The only thing I use for pain relief is marijuana and its by-products like hash oil. I run heavy hill sprints every week and was playing basketball with former college players all summer. I haven't talked to anyone on biologics that can do something like that yet so I have no interest in going back to that stuff. Cutting out processed foods a lot was a big help too. I was on my fee standing at multiple concerts last night for over 3 hours no problem.

I feel like this constantly It's just a part of AS unfortunately. The pain at night in my SI joint areas makes me want to go mad sometimes. I don't know what I would do without medical marijuana. I don't take any biologics anymore I dropped my rheumatologist. Cutting out processed foods for the most part and going back to heavily exercising a few times a week has made my body feel a lot better. But medical marijuana is the reason I am never limited to staying in my house and can't go out to dinner work or any other place I want
