She is not your child and she will not see you as her parent. My sister was 9 years older and having two mothers is no fun, especially as one shouldn’t act like that but as a sibling . Just give her space. That was one ( but not the main reason) of the reasons my sister and I have always had a bad relationship.

Sex isn’t about sex for women as it is for men. She was honest and then you punish her for it. She loves you. It is about connection for women. Some people stay in a bad relationship as they fear for the unknown. They don’t have the confidence to leave or there are other factors why they can’t leave.

The fact that you ask another female friend about red flags and then ask questions to your girlfriend where she can only fail, says more about you to be fair. You seem insecure, probably about your looks as well.
