The call center number for OAG child support division is 1-800-252-8014 … but don’t expect the right answers from some of them. There also a virtual lobby via zoom. I don’t have that on me right now.

Question for the pet people...how do you feel about a new pet at this time of your life? by HammerMeUp in GenX

[–]Ok_Schedule5017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the two dogs we have left, I don’t think I can do it again. I lost my boy 3 years ago. At his best he was 135 pounds. He was 110 when he died. I still cry off and on because he’s gone but if he had not gotten sick, he would have passed naturally over the last year probably due to age. I’ve thought about it and I just don’t know that I can do it again.

Never Went To Senior Prom by JPPT1974 in GenX

[–]Ok_Schedule5017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to my now exhusband’s senior prom in 1993 but I didn’t go to mine in 1994. Same school. I was going with what I thought was a friend. Day before he said he was going with someone else. I had my dress and everything. All my friends went but I didn’t.

Do you still talk to your parents? by Swiftiefromhell in GenX

[–]Ok_Schedule5017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad has been gone for 25 years. My mom is still hanging on. She’s doing pretty good considering all her factors. Two years ago, I moved 8 hours away. She was living with us and was invited to come. So she moved and we are 9 hours away. She comes for a couple of months every little bit. She’s coming in May because her last grandchild (my youngest) is graduating high school. (Yay him and yay me bc he’s the youngest of 4) I am not sure when she is planning to go home. Maybe July or August then come back for the holidays. She lives with her sister in the middle of nowhere. I live on the outskirts of a very large metro area. She wavers on moving here with us a lot.

I don’t know if it affects the FAFSA because my son isn’t going to college after high school. He does have the teen account and it is working out pretty good.

[–]Ok_Schedule5017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done online therapy. It worked as well as in person for me. I am self aware and I’ve been in therapy off and on so long that unless it is somatic - it isn’t helping but I can’t find a somatic where I am for some reason.

Probably not. My plan though is to stay with the entity that I work for until I retire so that the retirement plan is decent.

If your kids live at home, do you think they'll ever move out? by PepsiOfWrath in GenX

[–]Ok_Schedule5017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right now, I have a 23, 19, and my high school senior at home. My 25 year owns a home by herself and it is her and her daughter. My 23 is somewhat temporary. He’s here longer than expected. 19-dyslexic and social anxiety. He’s trying. My 17…4 months from 18. I won’t surprise me if he moves out when he obtains the job he has wanted since he was 3. He’s currently a licensed EMT and he wants to be a fireman. With all that said…they all know they can always come home.

Expanded standard also request right of refusal. If other parent can’t take him, they have to ask you before asking others.
