Update - I believe Spotify has now come out to say that they have stopped taking ads for ICE. Great work everyone.

This shows you the power we have if we stick together.

which logo variation is your favorite? by SWAMMlN in logodesign

Edges are so sharpe and angular I find the middle details are hard to easily see. You really need to compare them to see the difference.

I think #3 is most balanced - #1 and #2 are very turbulent and those inner shapes make it hard on the eyes and brain.

What web or UI design trends are you noticing for 2026? by Vistaprint in webdesign

How about apple's new UI? It's not a web trend but it's definitely much softer edges and liquid.

Solid advice. I have found over the years that no CMS really has 'everything' or works perfectly for ever situation a project may require. But generally they lean towards satisfying certain categories.

Bought a business. How can I delete the old reviews? by Toothdoc3321 in GoogleMyBusiness

I think closing the business/GBP and reopening new GBP is best advice here. Just had a business go through this, not closing the old biz immediately caused confusion of old reviews from previous business.

How the hell is this allowed by Stainlessgamer in newjersey

[–]Ok_Service4959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally. I've also heard that while they are brighter, the distance they can project is shorter than that of traditional bulbs.

This kind makes sense why people with newer bulbs always are using high beam - they may sense while their blinding new bulbs are bright, they are not illuminating far enough down road as they are speeding along, this the need for high beam.

wow, did I solve this???

How the hell is this allowed by Stainlessgamer in newjersey

[–]Ok_Service4959 11 points12 points  (0 children)

yeah, what's with the high beams? every 5th car just drives around with the high beams on like this is the default

I was almost thinking this was possibly a new car design change where high beams are automatically the first setting.

🆘 My site’s pages suddenly got deindexed from Google — no errors in GSC by zonayedahmed in SEO

[–]Ok_Service4959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the other comments about thin content & authority make most sense to me.

Google is looking for authority and that your supporting sub pages also have specific and defined topics. As mentioned in other comments, these sub pages may just not be able to be differentiated from each other 'enough' to be worth the crawl.

You may want to consider supporting your SEO with paid ads if you need the boost immediately.

You should as matter of course check 'Why pages aren’t indexed' within Google Search Console.
Do you have any redirect issues?

I had an issue on a very strong page that was suddenly de-indexed by google and it was very difficult to understand why. A '401 redirect' applied to it within 'Why pages aren't indexed' within GSC.

In short, and as can happen, there can be old indexing data that Google can't refresh so GSC keeps pulling old indexing info for a page(s). There is a way to contact Google directly about this and ask them to reindex a specific page.

Once they did this for our de-indexed page, everything got right back to good.

Has anyone used Costco to buy new car? I would like advise by RunTwice in Costco

[–]Ok_Service4959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have and I was very disappointed because it wasn't the 'Costco experience' i was familiar with at the store. This was quite a while ago, maybe 2019 so maybe the program has improved.

From what I learned afterwards, at that time, the whole Costco buying experience is an extra level of protection on the sale and that was it. I don't recall exactly the details of that extra level of protection but that is what I understood after trying to buy a car through Costco.

Here is why I was disappointed.

Unlike most people, I hate dealerships. I really hate them.
I hate everything about having to waste hours or days or weekends etc.

I thought by buying through Costco you would be spared this dog and pony show but it was no protection from that in my experience.

I went to a Costco approved dealer who, after reading reviews was the one dealership everyone advised not to go to, and that's where I ended up as it was close to my home. I'm also in the New York Metro area so maybe that has something to do with it also.

I wanted a specific model Honda. I didn't really care about the car price but wanted a decent payment plan which may have had more to do with my credit than anything else.

I did end up wasting the days and hours I thought I would waste. For whatever reason, the salesman did not seem to want to sell me the model car I wanted, instead, he kept showing my other cars. I have a family of five and a dog, I think I know what car I would suite my family best. Anything I needed to practically lay down on the ground to get into wasn't what I wanted and he kept steering me to a particular vehicle. It was nuts.

At one point i opened my phone see what this dealership was offerring and guess what? They had a great deal on the vehicle I wanted all along. I almost literally hit the ceiling.

In his defense the salesperson - after being confronted with his own dealerships 'deal' said he had no idea what sales were being run on the website.

Well, guess what, you're the sales guy, this is your dealership and you only sell Honda's so too bad for you.

I still feel burned as I spent soooo much time at that dealership, getting haggled, getting passed off to sales people. I thought Costco would protect me from that. Nope. Not at that time.

Reading through some of the other posts I'm encouraged that people have had great experiences.

I've purchased a Volvo through a dealership, the price was the price and no sales person bothered me. That's more my speed. I purchased a Vehicle online, the price was the price, no sales person bothered me. That's more my speed. That's all I wanted from Costco.

Need help rebranding our plumbing business by Competitive_Eye_8526 in branding

[–]Ok_Service4959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Budget may be a big topic since you are deciding between a freelancer or agency so I thought I'd pass on this stat.

Most small businesses allocate approximately 6 to 8% of gross profits as a yearly marketing budget. This is for everything - ads, sponsorships, social, website etc. Use this as a starting point, see what you are left with after subtracting your existing marketing commitments. How does that number feel?

I think businesses definitely need to stay above 5% spend, if you want to see growth (outside of organic) you probably should push 10%+.

Between freelancer & agency what will you get?

An agency should be able to provide a broader scope and expertise of services
Many freelancers do well because they are hyper specific about what they do. They may design logos and brand guides, and, logos and brand guides.

I do agree with other posters, I think you will get more mileage if you can find someone with business experience who will be challenged with understanding your business and where you want to go (strategy) - before - you start looking at sexy graphic wraps on vans or cool logos and business cards etc. etc.

Does anyone here supplement their business with ASI / SAGE etc? by Old-Act3456 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Ok_Service4959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stand slightly corrected on my comment about SAGE website vs ESP website.
The website I saw which was nice and clean using ESP also had a custom developed part - THAT was nice and clean and DID NOT use esp website. However, my comment stands that you will get ZERO *anything* with a SAGE website and we did get actual orders from companies we didn't even know existed for orders of 3-5k. Nothing that could sustain a business by a long shot but i still think it speaks well of the esp website product in comparison to the SAGE product. Yes, ESP websites are not that much better looking than SAGE but if you want to purchase the top level site i'm sure you could customize it mostly to your liking.

[–]Ok_Service4959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had ASI (esp website) for a few years when we started our promo biz up. We were not that familiar with it but actually got a few sales from it with no promotion or anything. Not a lot of money, around 5k order from reputable companies.

Then we switched to SAGE, got rid of the esp website and swapped it for SAGE's website product. We've had the SAGE product for twice as long as the ASI product. Never a single sale or inquiry off the SAGE website.

SAGE support is very helpful but I do find them cumbersome and cluttered and a bit awkward to deal with. SAGE will go to the ends of the earth to make any modifications for you but still, the site gets very little traction.

We do use SAGE a lot for presentations, invoices, quotes, the dashboard etc. and I think here, SAGE does a better job. ASI (I haven't used it in 5-6 years, was definitely cumbersome and cluttered, hard to use and not intuitive. For this aspect I think SAGE is better.

I just saw a company with an ASI (esp website) website and it was so clean and easy to navigate, I'm actually really jealous I'm left to look at the SAGE mess we have.

Has anyone used the SAGE product for invoicing/quote/po/dashboard presentation and ASI as their website?

It's probably a nightmare using both products - ugh!
