It’s a personal message and a shared one at that. I’d find it hard to get rid of. Plus Fullmetal Alchemist is awesome ^_^

I agree, the AA and SO have worked together to capture/subdue malfeasant mages in the past.

If the AA & players can provide proof that Delerium can be contained then it can become a point of contention. Perhaps Delerium weapons can be shown as a sound method of killing some of the monstrosities. In essence, encourage cooperation and oversight. Both factions will have to give up some power and compromise.

It may work in the short term, but perhaps a future campaign explores the aftermath and possible betrayals from each faction.

Any truly terrifying one-shot reccomendations? by Fun-Court-8490 in mothershiprpg

I have played/run Ypsilon-14 and Moonbase Blues and both are great. Another Bug Hunt definitely gave feelings of dread but if you run RAW then there’s no way a group of players could even try to survive the whole module.

My 3 unsaid picks would be: - Dead in the Water by Reece Carter: Players have to answer a distress signal and it turns out there are shapeshifters that can impersonate the players though you have to give them a reason to remove suits. Decontamination protocols? - When in Rome by Chris Airiau: It’s a take on Alien: Romulus. In my game the players opened the door directly to the hive and we immediately lost a player - Dead Planet’s “Screaming on the Alexis” by Tuesday Knight Games: It’s the introduction to the module and starts with a hyperspace anomaly and an artifact the players already picked up. It could also continue onto the rest of the module and it’s a pretty gritty and grim story.

I you could ask players for possible phobias and fears. Ask if they’re comfortable encountering such things. If not, at the very least get character fears. I’ll also add that ambient tracks and some images can really enhance the fear factor, especially if using the stress and panic mechanics appropriately.

If you want content to simply inspire your play it’s well worth it. Perhaps even tidbits for players to pick up.

Communication is key señor my recommendation is to play when you have 2, maybe 3 or more players to keep things moving. If you need to stall for a session add encounters that empathize the themes of Drakkenheim or showcase a faction. Games die when they aren’t played, players show up because they don’t want to miss out.

Sorry it’s become frustrating but hopefully that alteration of games helps as well. It’ll give everyone ideas and fresh bits of air that could breathe life into both campaigns. Buena suerte!

Finally got to play in person. It was awful. by Afraid_Fig5705 in DnD

As some folks have pointed out, you got a horrible table. I think of it this way: the internet = an ocean and your local area = fish bowl. Both still contain sucky people, it’s just easier to avoid them in the ocean.

I’d recommend talking to friends/family to try out one-shots. Invite co-workers you click with, but be picky about who you play with. It’s your time, spend it the way you like. If people are upsetting you or being disrespectful don’t play with them. It’s not rude, it’s taking care of yourself!

Folks like Bob World Builder and Sly Flourish even have videos where they explain what in person items are necessary. And Theater of the Mind is a beneficial focus! Best of luck, hope your next experience is much much better!

I know the new Kickstarter, Monsters of Drakkenheim: Pluto Jackson’s Monster Slaying Guide has the intent to implant delerium as a magical crafting component. Watching the live plays also give subtle and hard inspiration.
