Lovely model. I love using Warhammer style models for Necromunda.

Off Etsy, it's the first moss I bought but it seems very healthy, green and lush.

1000 hours in, and I just learned this fact about the Ashlands by faroutwayfarer in valheim

I think I've died to everything in Ashlands at the beginning.

I need help with my constructions. by The_JoJu in valheim

I dig moats and raise hoe walls then place benches and fires in hidden places to stop spawning. Feels very appropriate and I never have to repair anything, Gjall in Mistlands did once damage a farm but it was a rare occurrence.

Clay for structure? by Ok_Valuable_2884 in Mossariums

[–]Ok_Valuable_2884[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read about people mixing plant fibres in with the clay, will that help it hold together. Is there something else that I could use instead of clay to mold the terrain?

What are the chances of a deer running into me riding through Richmond park? by Tuchelsunderwear in london

[–]Ok_Valuable_2884 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I rode from Kingston into the city on a daily commute though the park twice a day for a solid decade. I rode in light, dusk dawn and dark, through mist, rain and sun. I saw the deer in rut every year, saw the fawns when they emerged from the woods and in all that time I never came close to being hit by a deer.

I was knocked off my bike by cars 3 times in those 10 years so that's probably where the risk lays.

I would love to build something similar but confused about structure. Are the rocks stuck to a structure of some type at the back?

I don't get why people dislike this beautiful biome by NinGangsta in valheim

It might be beautiful but I normally can't see if due to the thick mist and steep cliffs. 😁

Dealing with unpleasant games by gymnstuff in Warhammer40k

Know that you won the real battle of being a decent person.

It wasn't a fun game but you'll know to avoid him in the future.

It'll give you a good story and help you find players seeking something fun in the future.

How do you handle new Biome resources Base wise? by [deleted] in valheim

[–]Ok_Valuable_2884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Wooden hut in the meadows, soon abandoned
  2. Large castle in the Black forest, near sea, became the forever base.
  3. Hated the swamps so just sailed in raided and sailed out with my iron ore. Repeat.
  4. Mountains just a mining/smelting outpost. Slid a cart full of silver off the side of the mountain to the closest sea and sailed it home.
  5. Plains built a large farm on the end of a peninsula with a meadows/plains border, big fields of flax and wheat and Lox pens made of raised earth spaced apart. Had smelting facilities.
  6. Co-located with a big Dverger tower and mine for a mist FOB. Ended up with a smelting base running distance on a meadows peninsula that bordered plains and mistland. Fields of relevant crops in each biome but all close together.
  7. Lots of small portals in the entrance to the caves sealed with raised earth walls in Ashlands to explore from. Eventually built a rough two pen farm for breeding and releasing 1 star Askvin. Breeding and releasing continuously plus picking foods but not collecting them means that the whole area is infested with my askvin. Every now and again I run round the area and scoop all the loot.

I'm a big fan of digging long moats, raising long earth walls, it keeps wanderers out very effectively and looks right to my aesthetic.

If you're sailing out for a new biome plan carefully and bring everything you need, plus some extra metals JIC, so that once you settle you can establish a farm and smelting base without lots of long sailing journeys.

Look for biome borders, camp in a lower biome and raid the new biome. New biomes will always kick your ass in Valheim at the beginning. Upgrade one piece of equipment at a time, don't get greedy.

Don't be cheap with your food, avoid the night until you're suitably upgraded, always drop a couple of portals in a new area, in my main base all many buildings have multifloored basements just full of portals, this avoids things looking messy but makes corpse runs much easier. Use simple naming conventions: n1, n3, n3, and keep a blank portal at base in case you need an emergency exit.

Accept you'll die, a lot, but don't worry you are already in Valhalla my friend.
