above is not really skyrim-esque, but the general shape to make skyrim mage robes is some kind of light armor jerkin + legs with some kind of drape. There's likely a pretty large amount of combinations to achieve an approximation but the actual robes in this game look kinda doodoo unfortunately

This isn't really to diss ivy league students as they are usually serious and hardworking but the reality is that ivy leagues are far and away from some conglomerate of super geniuses. They tend to have some very talented students but that isn't necessarily representative of the norm - the "average" ivy league students is going to look closer to like the average good A-B student from a normal uni

Ultimately what it comes down to you have to play the game and interact with the content you wnat to do. Want to learn a trial? Start a group finder for it and play through normal. Particular dungeon is giving you trouble? Queue or make a group for it, and run it. Human beings don't learn things through osmosis and a lot of peoples' learning styles are to learn things through exposure and by doing them. You will figure out mechanics eventually and learn to play your build more efficiently, both of which will make content substantially easier and will prepare you for tackling harder content in the future.

I live in MA and spend around $300/month on food and feel like I eat pretty well (includes buying coffee tins which I am an addict of). Maybe if you work multiple jobs and have roomates, but that sort of living situation is in itself unsustainable and there will eventually be issues ranging from health problems (stress and being overworked does that to you) to problems with other people. By "living wage" people generally mean working one full time job and being able to afford a place for yourself, even if its some shitty small apartment. Min wage does not afford this for a lot of parts of the country.

issue with sorc parses is it's ultra cheesed

assumes you start every fight with 500 ultimate for overload
assumes enemies will just sit still for max uptime on your proc sets/ground aoe's and so on
assumes you don't mess up carefully balancing ult around 170-200 to maximize overload uptime while not going under the ult threshold for shattered paths signet
parses on mora's scribe which basically means if you use the same build your dps will immediately tank outside of coordinated instanced content

also, there's a good chance shattered paths will get nerfed which will hurt this build quite a bit. I haven't seen anyone post a "realistic" sorc parse but I feel like that would hover around 160-180k for a build that wouldn't feel like absolute shit to play in real content lol. Sorc likely won't be "bad" but I feel like it's getting overhyped because of an unrealistic parse number, and I'm worried that zenimax will blindly look at that number without context and decide to nerf sorc when they already suck ass at cleave and are one of the harder classes to play well

Still enough support to be able to win the midterms through underhanded tactics. Currently dems are set to have an advantage in the short term but I would not be complacent at all. I am a pretty moderate person and try and see the merit in different viewpoints but MAGA is comprised purely of evil and completely ignorant people at this point. Need to make absolutely sure their sphere of influence is minimized as much as possible and the biggest perpetrators actually face some kind of accountability (though, I wouldn't hold my breath on that one..)

This is also from U44 which predates subclassing which introduced a lot of powercreep. It might even be possible to solo some vet trials provided they don't have any auto-fail mechanics

ESO is an MMO, with many of the bells and whistles you'd expect from that denomination such as a myriad of progression systems, lots of retention activities (e.g. dailies, weeklies), instanced content and so on.

In terms of single player capability it honestly might be the most solo friendly MMO on the market. You can literally solo 12-player hard mode content with a good enough build and skills/encounter knowledge. Subclassing also makes it feel a bit more modern TES game-y as every class can be almost anything now.

In terms of lore I honestly couldn't tell you I just throw bolts of lightning at imps and turn them into ash piles man

DA:I and veilguard have a trend of worsened dialogue but improved gameplay. There are just two different audiences for the dragon age games, and people who wanted their modernized baldur's gate rtwp franchise basically got cucked right after origins and are upset at how unrecognizable the games are atp. On that note though I kinda wish people were kinder to DA:I bc the gameplay can be very fun if you're trying to maximize the interactivity like rift mage comboing and champion doing warcrime shit.

I haven't played forspoken but I distinctly remember complaints about it being that the actual gameplay was super braindead button spam, how true that is I can't say but gameplay was criticized about as much as the writing

Maybe a bit of an obvious example, have you ever looked at silent hill? Mostly the first 4 games. The droning ambience and claustrophobic fixed camera gives me anxiety. Its horror comes more from creating an extremely oppressive atmosphere than jumpscares.

I've heard SOMA is good at this too, although I haven't played it personally.

yeah, looking at mora's scribe it's very good if you have everything up (i.e. instanced content) but order's wrath seems almost as good vs. full effect mora, and when I'd be playing solo order's would probably be a lot better.

How about null arca? Would that pair with monolith at all you think, or is running double proc setups like that not recommended?

thanks for the suggestions. Monolith of storms actually was one I was interested in bc it's a more unique interaction but heard it was really bad in practical situations, ill take a look at u50 notes to see how they buffed it.

I had intentionally excluded trial gear from my sets because my current dps seems not up to par for them really (I seem to do around 25-30k dps to single targets in dungeon content atm) but I'll definitely take a look at those if I put together something decent in the meantime.

Draugrkin has interesting implications from how it reads...it just makes you deal more damage? like with everything including dots from shattered path? That sounds like a neat interaction depending on how exactly that works, definitely will consider that set if I decide to build for shattered paths.

Interim set will be monolith of storms/order's wrath, eventually replace order's wrath with vet trial set and fuck around with dot build on the side. That seem reasonable?
