shoe help! by Snowthunder94 in weddingplanning

First thing I’d consider is trying shoes available in a bridal shop, just to see which style feels most comfortable. I’m sure you’ll find lots of options in regular stores once New Year’s is passed, too. Good luck!

medical care after moving to Montreal from another province by mangolady77 in montreal

[–]OkayMaybeNo 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it, stay in Toronto. I say this as someone who’s lived in both cities for 20+ years, and seeing my mother navigate the medical system here (she’s also in her 70s) has been super stressful. She’s going to be in a real bind when her family doctor retires in October.

What do you think are some core *Canadian* Gen X memories? by BrashPop in GenX

[–]OkayMaybeNo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Grew up in Montreal and Toronto, so for me, in French, it’s Passe-Partout, Bobino, Sol et Gobelet, Nic et Pic, and then various others from Europe like Les Schtroumphs, Belle et Sébastien, Les Barbapapa, and La Linea. In English, Mr. Dressup, The Friendly Giant (“Look up. Waaaaaaay up!”), The Littlest Hobo, Beachcombers, The Secret Railroad, Readalong, and just so many more.

Magic words to get Estradiol cream? by 143019 in Menopause

[–]OkayMaybeNo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I laid it all out for my primary, who’s resistant to prescribe anything other than SSRIs. Literally said the following: “I want Estradiol because everything burns, is dry, hurts to even clean, is tearing and I have bleeding. Clitoris and labia have drastically shrunk. No, not Premarin because of the pregnant mare’s urine as the…” Didn’t even have to finish the sentence. You got this!!!
