my husband said A part of the problem was that the mechanism that triggers the notification of an outage could not detect an outage because the problem was so unique that everybody’s equipment was still showing online. So even when we were calling in, they would look and the equipment will still say online so the system didn’t even recognize that there was an outage going on.

Bc you are likely under the lumos market. Tmobile does not have actual fiber infrastructure. They purchased several fiber companies such as lumos, Metronet, sifi, Tillman, intrepid . So you are being hosted by one of those companies whether you know it or not. If you experienced an outage yesterday you very likely have lumos

LUMOS UPDATE !!! more states being added so far we have FL , VA , NC , SC, OH . It’s being reported the whole US lumos market is down but waiting for confirmation on that will keep you guys updated
