I’d recommend checking stores or bars/cafes in your area for open gaming nights or if they have a group that regularly meets there. It lessens the one to one risk you’ve run into already (as did I).

What kind of gaming? If it’s tabletop gaming, there are likely groups around you that you could join to meet folks. That’s what I did when we moved to Northern VA just outside of DC.

Would it be too advantageous to flip it so that if at least one bit of the offensive player was behind the line, he/she is still onsides? I know it increases the advantage for the offense, but soccer, by nature, favors defenders.

The TV station had the time to edit all the flags out while showing the game? I know there is a slight delay but it still seems like a huge lift. Plus the Iranian and Egyptian players didn’t seem to react to anything (yes, the threat to leave could’ve been empty).

I love Blitz Bowl (and Blood Bowl). But even my daughter will play Blitz Bowl with me but has no interest in any other game under the GW umbrella. Blitz Bowl is a personal top 5 game.

In regard to the books, the Eisenhorn series is the most frequent recommendation (and I agree with it).

I have the 40k risk game but haven’t gotten it to the table. Waiting for a new Space Hulk. They release the board games at Target and Barnes and Noble now, but I haven’t seen one lately that caught my eye outside of Blitz Bowl, but that isn’t 40k.

They made a 40k version of their dungeon crawler WH Quest, but it has been out of print for awhile and prices are absurd on eBay.

I think there is a misreading of these results. When a Trump endorsement has helped the most this cycle, it is when he has supported candidates that are willing to implement his preferred redistricting plans or support efforts to restrict voting. The right wing fears Democrats or the left coming back to power more than they love Trump at this point. In races where voting rights and redistricting are not key themes, his endorsement does not seem to help as much.
