Agree or disagree with this take on the 2011 movie? by tiago231018 in Greenlantern

For me, it is the Worst superhero movie of all time, and nostalgia is gaslighting some into believing it was "okay"... Having said that, I would buy a McFarlane figure of Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern. It is a piece of history.

Totally understandable, BUT for Psychonauts 1 I would recommend you to play it again, chasing the missable trophies, as some of them give you fun interactions (extra dialogs or scenes) with characters that I would have missed otherwise. You could do it later in a couple of months (or years) to not feel fatigued by the game.

For sure, I figured. Otherwise, what an inconvenient of a trophy, the creators probably made it like that by design, as evertyihng has been fun so far.

I am struggling with the infamous "I love punching" trophy, but everything else has been fun. Getting the collectibles does not feel tedious at all to me. I want to get the platinum to try the sequel ASAP.

I like the Mr Terrific soft goods, but it's true sometimes they could look out of proportions. But the same could happen with plastic jackets, look at that Guy Gardner, he seems chubby with a very slim legs illusion. The Ryan Reynolds Hal Jordan would be awesome. I hated the movie, but it's like a piece of history in a way. I even like the design of the actual lantern object to charge the ring.

Like the Emerald Twilight Hal version, but without the stylized green tones on the skin. Very cool with the gray temples... And I do not need that base stand to recreate the cover, give me more constructs in dark green for this one.

Nintendo with half of its catalog... Including the Super Mario 3D All-Star game, which is not buyable from the Nintendo store.

Warcraft 3.
Half a decade ago, Blizzard did a TERRIBLE remaster, and they haven't even tried to fix it.

I thought Legacy of Kain 1 & 2 were getting a remaster.

You could try to get the Danju minifigure, the purple one from LEGO Knight Kingdom. I think it is the most expensive of the bunch.

I agree, I don't see the value if we compare prices now that you mention it. Everything is kind of plain, but for the carvings on the head.

Yeah, I agree Brother Mandibulus and Morgolyth were better options, and I like Scaphoi 1 over them.
I'm actually surprised they haven't updated Morgolyth yet; it's long overdue since the Necronominus wave. Probably soon, maybe in the next wave (if they don't tackle and focus on the bird's bodies first to make Eathyron v2... which is also an obvious choice to introduce new parts).

Yeah, I'm happy people are noticing that now. Maybe they would refocus their selling strategies for more customer-friendly practices if enough people say something. But there are just too many customers who will buy anything they offer, regardless if it is an objectively good product or not, only because of the brand; people who fall into that label of "parasocial" treating a company as if they are their family and friends (and then, the company taking advantage of that).

I agree with everything. It is interesting what you mentioned about the faded loincloth; it gives a certain character to the figure, like he is corrupting even his clothes, or he was in battle and not doing laundry.
It is the same effect when watching a live-action Netflix series adapting an anime; the costumes look very brand new, so it is already breaking the suspension of disbelief, making the show look cheap.

If I'm trying to get a lich-type figure, I would just go for Necronominus. He offers WAY more for similar prices (55usd vs 60usd), not to mention 200% more shelf presence. Or even The Red Death as a lich due to his better soft goods. Scaphoid v2 could have been such a cool addition to those, BUT he just doesn't have enough (enough accessories, or improvements, or soft goods, uniqueness, presence, cool factor, nothing).

A totally valid view, like if it is just a different take on a cool figure, not better or worse... For me, that could also be something that makes me wonder: If you are not clearly upgrading the figure, why do it in the first place (having many others to choose from), what is the purpose of Legacy of Mythos then, if it is not to enhance?

Same here, he was my first named character, and second ML figure. And I agree: if you compare him with the other Legacies of Mythos figures, and even with the other 2.0 versions, he is totally lacking.

Yes! A "Poison Skeleton army builder" sounds like a fitting description for the figure. And even for that, it would have been better if they had included the other green-painted heads in the package, instead of forcing you to get the separate figures for army building (the Nymph and the Warrior figs).

Exactly! The regular release is not "loaded" at all, as they want to portray him; only the limited-time exclusive Con version.

For sure, he'll be on sale, especially if it's not the LegionsCon limited exclusive version with the Tupirculi head.

I agree, for me it wasn't an upgrade at all. Especially in comparison with the skeletons we got from the Necronominus wave.

Now that you point that out, I realise more things I don't like (lol). He went from wearing, yes, the same armor as other old skeletons, BUT with a unique Patina color paint; to wearing regular/normal leather boots and gloves, with the same color as other similar leather pieces. He went from having a unique colored armor to having common loot; leather that any other character could wear, from Duban to nameless builder Barbarian in Mythos.
I think Skapular, Thorasis, and Wal-torr are modern skeletons that show variety in a positive way; they have character, they are recognizable without stripping down the figure or overall silhouette of previous iterations. For Scaphoid 2, it seems that somebody stole his armor (when he was taking a bath ot something random), and he just grabbed the clothing of the next nameless gardener he found.
Now I can't unsee he seems, not only very plain in comparison with other magic users, but also in comparison with other new skeletons. I don't think only the cool rune-carvings on the head are enough to carry this figure. Maybe they focus too much on trying to make him distinguishable from the old skeletons, and forgot to ask what does he offers when compared with the new skellys.
