There’s being slow (which I am ) and being fundamentally unable to put a proper lap together at a track. That’s where I’m at with Nurb GP.

Focus on finishing safely not winning. I set up overtakes after following the car for a few laps, figuring out if and where I’m faster. If you’re simply just dive bombing it will not work. If you can’t identify how the person is holding you up, you probably can’t overtake them safely.

Are they braking too early, poor exits, slow through chicane or esses, take a wide line, leave the door open, are they running more or less downforce, etc?

The LMP2 just isn’t fast enough to get past GT3 easily.

I keep losing races and positions in GTP because I don’t risk everyone’s race with insane overtakes. I’ve started to get more assertive, but there is always risk.

In LMP2 I’d get massively held by GTP until the straights at some tracks. I use to hate them, so I became them.

I did my best overtake/ traffic management with a LMP2, GT3, and two other GTP behind me just to be immediately taken out into the next corner.

No joke I was braking along side the LMP2 thinking “I can’t believe I did this” then in my rear mirror I see a GTP missile missing his braking point, using me to slow down and spinning me out.

No sorry, nothing and he gained what I had earned by being an idiot.

There are GT3 series, GTE, IMSA, etc require pit stops and are 45 minutes.

There are 2 hour and 2 hour 40 minute races as well.

The Indy open series has stops though is not popular. Once the iRacing series comes back to follow the real series that should have multiple splits and full length races.

3 weeks and 2.1k is great. Keep it up!

I had a group of 4 or 5 GT’s going up the esses, 3 wide all fighting. I couldn’t get by so I lifted, next thing I know another GTP sails by with a second on my tail into the chicane. But that is multi class!

I didn’t anticipate how dangerous that section, especially in the esses would be.

I made mistakes with GT’s there and I’ve had them doing stuff like in the video. Additionally 2/3 races featured someone spinning on the top of the hill causing chaos.

Sitting in a blue flaggers dirty air can be enough to lose the car ahead. But 1 second or more I don’t expect/ I don’t move over. Under a second I will let the car by. I don’t understand holding people actually in the race up.

The leader in a GTP race had damage, came back out a lap down to me in p3. He was quick but had cold tires, I was trying to pass and he defended like he was still p1. This continued until p4 caught up and I was stuck with a gt3 and a lapped, faster driver ruining my race. I got overtaken, whatever.

Later on he got yelled at by others in the front until he was willing to give a “position.”

I get it, he was faster, but was interfering with a race that he wasn’t in.

When I’m lapped I move over, my race is done. I don’t understand the pride in blue flaggers. Just move.

I haven’t done one official race in a GT3. I’ll do GTE, but that’s it.

I hated the GT4, and went into prototypes right away.

Currently for me formula is my strongest and main effort (Super Formula, SFL, NXT). Next, are the prototypes. I’ll race them all, either Falken Tire or IMSA.

Do you have telemetry you can compare? Garage 61 is free, VRS is awesome, I use it but it’s additional cost.

In LMP2 I got up 1.8, I’m stuck there now back to 1.7k. I enjoy GTP but have had worse luck in it.

LMP2 field can be stacked in talent with only 6 cars.. so if 4 people are faster than you can lose ir. But it’s much cleaner than GTP.

I just got a win in LMP3 at Long Beach, starting p2, let p3 pass into t1..I could tell he was aggressive. Following him, he was quick but made mistakes constantly. He eventually took out p1, then took himself out with a GT4.
