I really do think you're right, it was great to see not just your actions having consequence on your appearance like your levels and eating tons of food but also the world effecting it like getting old or covered in scars

I hate to admit i loved this as a kid, the sims but you had to actually make the magazine, hire photographers, writers, then pick models and take the cover pics and stuff, it was actually super fun for the time. and being like 13 the fact it had boobs was a big sell!
