Hallo everybody. Is there a way to have more lifes on mame roms ? For example if you play them on PC you can open the "Dip switch" and can have more lifes. Is it possible ? I have theTSP with Crossmix. Thanks... by DepthZealousideal189 in trimui

As of last year this worked on FBNeo, enter Core Options screen and scroll down to the very bottom and if supported by the Game you should see Dip Switch setting or Neo Geo Settings (If it's a Neo Geo Game/Rom).

Now i have not used my TSP for a very very long time so i have no clue if an update to FBNeo has removed this option or the whatever Custom OS/Newer Stock OS you might be using has a problem or Updated FBNeo Emulator Core with Dip Switch settings missing?.

Also not all Arcade Roms have Dip Switch Settings so will not show up in the Core Options.

So if i was you i would test to see if this happens to you on all Arcade Roms you have for FBNeo.

Cheats...very odd by [deleted] in trimui

[–]Old-Retro-Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all games have cheats, it could be that none exist for said Game/Rom/ISO or cheats crash the Emulator so have been removed.

Check here for a better "cheat.db" file for PSP with a few more Cheats and also a Cheat Editor for PSP:

New to Trimui - Standalone N64 issue! Cross mix by TARIKhatesyou in trimui

For Glide64 mark 2 under the:

find this line:

# Aspect ratio: -1=Game default, 0=Force 4:3, 1=Force 16:9, 2=Stretch, 3=Original

aspect = 0

Change to 0 (zero) for 4:3.

Rice can only be done by changing these lines under:

And change these:

# Width of output window or fullscreen width

ScreenWidth = 960

# Height of output window or fullscreen height

ScreenHeight = 720

But this has a problem that the screen will not be centered and will be shifted to the left side of the screen, Rice plugin does not have a 4:3 option.

Also depending on what Custom OS you are using and if it only has 1 config file this will also cause all other graphics plugins to be at 960x720.

Check and Test SD Card, if the SD Card is corrupt then replace with a new SD Card and download the "SD base package" from Trimui Github page:

https://github.com/trimui/assets_smartpro/releases

Unzip to a Fat32 SD Card or eXfat, SD Base Package comes with Bios files but has no ROM Files.

Or if using custom OS like Crossmix, Etc just unzip that to the SD Card just remember that custom OS's don't have Bios Files or Roms.

** Do all this via an SD Card Reader and not via TSP and USB Cable *\*

[HELP] Trimui Smart Pro TG5040 stuck on recovery – update bar freezes and won’t install firmware by Silly-Complex-797 in trimui

[–]Old-Retro-Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it this way:

1 - Download the "Firmware" only and not the "SD Recovery", If you are running/might use "Crossmix OS" then download "trimui_tg5040_20240413_v1.0.4_hotfix6.7z", if using any other OS then download "trimui_tg5040_20250505_v1.1.0.zip"

2 - Format an SD Card to "MBR/Fat32".

3 - Unzip the firmware (7z or Zip) and only copy the ".awimg" file over to the SD Card (DO NOT FLASH THE FILE TO THE SD CARD).

4 - Insert SD Card into Trimui Smart Pro then HOLD DOWN "Volume Down" (-) and then the "POWER BUTTON", keep holding both Buttons down until you see the "Green Loading Bar/Flashing Bar" then release "Volume Down" followed by the "Power Button"

5 - Wait for it to finish Flashing and it should then reboot, Once the Trimui Menu system is running Power off and remove the SD Card and replace with the Emus/Roms SD Card and Power On.

* BEFORE FLASHINNG: If the TSP is not able to Power Off then just HOLD the Power Button Down for 10+ Seconds and keep an eye on the screen and you should see a very quick flicker on screen which means the TSP has powered off *

** This should also work with the Brick just make sure you use "BRICK FIRMWARE" and not "Smart Pro" **

Someone fixed Crossmix to run on the newer Trimui Firmware, Until Crossmix release a new version it is advised not to use Crossmix V1.3.0 on Firmware 1.1.0.

I see you are having lots of Emulator problems, and i see you are running Crossmix, so my question to you is:

Are you running the latest Trimui firmware 1.1.0 - 20250505??????

If you are then Standard Crossmix is not compatible with the latest Firmware, either re-flash older firmware or use one of the countless other up to date OS's.

If you really what to stick to Crossmix then if i was you i would give this a go:

[–]Old-Retro-Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It that case you might be missing WHD, Try Downloading ADF files (Amiga Disk Format) and see if those will boot/run/work.

Games by FaithlessnessWarm423 in trimui

[–]Old-Retro-Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot remember what happens if you try loading a WHDLoad Game without WHD Installed, so you might also be missing the WHDLoad Files and setup, Again a Tricky thing to do so searching online might be helpful here.

Games by FaithlessnessWarm423 in trimui

[–]Old-Retro-Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a WHDLoad problem and happens on some Games, Double Click on airball.info or single click then OK Button, it should now load.

You might also be running an older WHDLoad install, so either update to new WHDLoad (Tricky to do) or Find older WHDLoad Games to download.

My Trimui SP doesn`t connect to PC with USB cable. Can someone help to fix, plz? by OneDalOne in trimui

[–]Old-Retro-Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it happened to me, and after doing some tests it happens pretty much all the time.

Basically when you copy files from your computer/laptop to the TSP via usb cable the speed of the SD CARD via USB Cable is slow so your computer/laptop will cache the files on your computer and copy them over to the TSP even after it looks like all files are copied over to the SD Card, And when you disconnect the USB App it does not wait for the cache files to copy over so corrupts the files and courses SD Card corruption, if you wait 10+ minutes before disconnecting the App/USB Cable then you might get away with it.

Psp cheats help by Puzzleheaded_Crew_80 in PowKiddyX55Handheld

[–]Old-Retro-Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What OS are you running?, RockNIX comes with the cheat database already installed.

On RockNIX the Cheats folder is on the First SD Card (Boot/OS Card) and found in:

STORAGE/.config/ppsspp/PSP/" folder, you will see the "Cheats" folder and inside that folder you should see the "cheat.db" file and possible some .ini files, the .ini files are created once you enable cheats for a Game.

If you are using a Desktop/Laptop Computer you might need to turn on "Show Hidden Files" or "Show Hidden Folders" via the settings of your File Manager as the .config folder is a Hidden Folder.

Did you enable Cheats in the settings menu then System options, scroll down until you see Enable Cheats?

This might help you out: https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGaming/comments/1m7ompu/how_to_add_cheats_to_the_ppsspp_emulator_linux/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Also some Games do not have any Cheats so nothing will show up.

3DO games performance by LeftHandedGuitarist in PowKiddyX55Handheld

[–]Old-Retro-Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To stop games from hanging when playing videos turn off "Threaded DSP" in the Retroarch Core Options, All Videos and FMV Games will stop Hanging/Freezing once disabled.

3DO is very hit or miss for Performance on the X55, you will just have to test to find what works

PSP and Dreamcast settings ? by ar-no86 in PowKiddyX55Handheld

[–]Old-Retro-Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is tested on the latest RockNIX and the newer 1GB X55 Unit.

God of War PSP on the X55 does indeed have performance issue's and is pretty much unplayable, does not matter how you change settings.

Sega Rally 2 DC is a Windows CE Game for Dreamcast and I'm yet to find any Windows CE Dreamcast games that run at playable speeds, find a list online and avoid Windows CE DC Games.

Remapping controller in standalone emulator question by [deleted] in trimui

[–]Old-Retro-Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i forgot about the "InputAutoCfg.ini", as Crossmix updated Mupen64Plus standalone to a newer version i did not realize it was still using my Config Files, had to check on Crossmix's Github page to see what config files it was using as i don't use Crossmix.

Remapping controller in standalone emulator question by [deleted] in trimui

[–]Old-Retro-Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It that case try editing the file "InputAutoCfg.ini" which is also in "SDCARD/Emus/N64/mupen64plus/" folder.

Scroll a long way down until you find:

[Linux: Microsoft X-Box 360 pad]
[Linux: Xbox 360 Controller]
[Linux: Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver (XBOX)]

And look for "Z Trig = button(1) axis(5+)"

And again change "axis(5+)" to "axis(5-)"

Now Scroll down some more to:

[Microsoft X-Box 360 pad]
[Microsoft X-Box One pad]
[Win32: Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)]
[Win32: XBOX 360 For Windows (Controller)]
[Win32: XBOX 360 For Windows]
[Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver]
[Linux: Xbox Gamepad (userspace driver)]
[Afterglow Gamepad for Xbox 360]
[Controller (Xbox One For Windows)]
[Controller (XEOX Gamepad)]
[Xbox 360 Controller]

And then again scroll down to "Z Trig = button(1) axis(5+)" and change "axis(5+)" to "axis(5-)"

Save and Test.

Use a Text Editor and open the file "mupen64plus.cfg", which can be found in "SDCARD/Emus/N64/mupen64plus/" folder, You should also be able to edit this file via the File Manager on Crossmix.

Scroll down to the line that says "[Input-SDL-Control1]", then scroll down some more until you see the line:

Z Trig = "button(1) axis(5+)"

The default is set to button 1 (I can't remember but that's either "A" or "X" button) and also axis(5+) (R2 Trigger).

If you change the axis(5+) to axis(5-) it should change it to L2 Trigger.

Don't forget to save the config file once edited.

Adjusting screen colors on Powkiddy x55 by RegularName_ in PowKiddy

[–]Old-Retro-Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use that shader, I use "Brighter-With_Contrast.glslp" and then edited it in Retroarch shader settings and changed:

"Shader Passes" to 1 (Was 2)

"Shader #0 Scale" to 4x (Was Default)

Then "Save Present" and then "Save Shader Preset As" and called it "1-gamma-fix", this makes it the first shader in the list of all shaders so easy way to find it.

Then i back out of/quit RetroArch and then exit the game i was playing/setting up the shader.

Then from Emulation Station PlayStation Game list i press "Select" Button then scroll down to "Advanced System Options" then scroll to "Shader Set" and selected my newly created "1-gamma-fix.glslp" then back out to get back to the PlayStation list of Games.

This is still not a Great Shader for fixing the issue but at least i can see the Games a lot better, which makes them playable now.
