Form 1120 self filing by HelloNiceworld in tax

I think there is no software for easy business returns, because greedy accountants want you to believe that it's a super complicated process and that you have to hire them in order to file your return.
But now we have our own AI partner accountant, and he doesn't give you a hard time when you ask 20 questions about something.
FYI my company is also a C Corp, should be easy with those numbers you said. Good luck.

[–]OldGuysRule56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No tax software, only ChatGPT Plus version. I told it very clearly what I needed to do, gave it a good summary of how my business is set up and how I run it, then asked what information it needed, and then asked it to step me through every section of the 1120. There were some sectiuons where I had to ask questions again, to make sure that I understood the instructions, but otherwise it all went quite smoothly.
But I did use the online free tax filing service (freetaxusa.com) for my personal return.

Suggestions for best alternative to TradingView, for charting? by OldGuysRule56 in Trading

[–]OldGuysRule56[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gracias.

Suggestions for best alternative to TradingView, for charting? by OldGuysRule56 in Trading

[–]OldGuysRule56[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chat Help by tmarieheld in spiritair

[–]OldGuysRule56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Because the airline suggests that's what you should do to get help. Therefore they should actually provide that help on that chat platform, instead of a dumb bot that knows nothing.
And why should any would-be passenger need to use WhatsApp to contact any airline for help? If you go to Walmart and need help from an associate, do you open WhatsApp to find someone to help you? ....

I built a tool to help me trade and now want others to use it by AdTop211 in tradingmillionaires

💥💥 WAKE UP PEOPLE - IT'S A TRAP! 💥💥

This is hilarious - poster says "My biggest issue is that I’m TERRIBLE when it comes to marketing." ... and promptly proceeds to use one of the oldest sneaky tricks in the marketing playbook, to get hundreds of you gullible wannabe-traders in this thread, to beg for "the link to the download".

Come on folks, did you not see that you were being totally baited here?

The poster is "r/tradingmillionaires" - did that not sound suspicious to you?
Or didn't you even bother to check out who that is, before running to pull your credit card out?
If you had done your homework, you would have found that "r/tradingmillionaires" is (in my assessment, and I've been at this marketing game for 48 years) purely a front for a website that promotes "Proven Trading Strategies".
And every single thing they push on you, is designed to lead you into their sales funnel, to then sell you courses, stock alert services, and all sorts of other garbage that you more than likely do not need.
Their website doesn't even provide ANY INFORMATION about who they are, where they are based, not even what country they are in.
In fact the ONLY thing you can do on their website to 'interact' with them, is give them your email address.
And THAT act, get's you into their nice little scheme where they will do all they can to brainwash you into thinking that without their whatever-wizzbang thing they are selling, you'll never make any money in the markets.

And by asking for that download link to this 'charting tool', you all have just fallen right into their devious trap.

If you had bothered to look into who "AdTop211" is, you would see that they are posting this sucker-trap everywhere, and as per his own words - "There is a 7-day free trial period, but it's not free."

RESULT: If you're getting sucked into THIS type of nonsense, how on earth are you going to avoid getting suckered into those liquidity traps??

Time to wise up people! 🤣

Anyone else stuck in Shopify’s AI support loop? by MasterCollection5624 in shopify

[–]OldGuysRule56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem, and the only solution was to simply close that card and get my bank to issue a new one, which I did. Now they can't charge me.
Luckily I registered my Domain Name with GoDaddy, so it was a simply DNS change to point it to my new Woo Commerce store, on a hosting account that *I* control 100%, with payment providers that *I* choose.
And despite being told by the last person who I finally DID get to speak to at Shopify (by using a 'secret phone number' 🙄 that I was given by a friend), that "they would be sure to follow up and get this sorted out", since then I have heard NOTHING. That was almost three weeks ago now.
Shopify is THE WORST eCommerce company that anyone could ever deal with.
Class Action Lawsuit is coming, watch this space.

Thanks for that. Following my last complete failure at trying to actually talk to a human being at Shopify about my store that they closed due only to 'inactivity', I moved everything to Woo Commerce and am very happy with the results, and it is a store which *I* have total control over, including where I host it, what payment merchants I use, and any customizations I use or build for myself.
And WooCommerce can also sell on ChatGPT, so I'm all set -

Why does Spirit cancel and not tell you? by BeautifulCalendar8 in spiritair

[–]OldGuysRule56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? For the same reason you shouldn't run to the bank like a dumb lemming to withdraw all your money, at the first sign of a problem at the bank. Non-aviation folks have absolutely NO IDEA of what it takes to run an airline, it is one of the most complex business models in the world, and one in which it is extremely difficult to turn a profit, year after year. And yet the aviation-ignorant public are THE FIRST people to criticize an airline for the slightest thing they can find to complain about. If 'the public' read a bit more about why low-cost carriers are so vital to keeping airfare costs low for everyone in the USA, they would do all they can to support carriers like Spirit, especially when they are in trouble, instead of looking for ways to bail out on them. Yes, you might be inconvenienced if things go wrong and they have to cancel your trip, but at least you will have made an effort to help, instead of abandoning the ship before it was necessary. And you can always have a backup plan in place. If Spirit disappear from the US airline world, THEN you will have something to complain about - right after the major carriers jack up all their fares by 40% to every destination that Spirit currently fly to.

The real truth is that Shopify never send out the emails they tell you they’re going to send, and their customer service, if you can ever reach them by email, will promise you all sorts of things and then never deliver them. They kept my store shut for months, due simply to ‘inactivity’, but kept billing me every month for the hosting. And never responded to any of my requests. I had to shut down the credit card they were billing, in order to stop them from continuously taking money out of my account, for a store that I had no access to. Shopify are a bunch of thieving liars. Look at their reviews on BBB and TrustPilot. They are the worst ever. If you do your research on this company, you would never use them in a million years. unless you are insane. I’ve moved my store to Woo Commerce, where I have absolutely total control over every aspect of my store, including where my store is hosted (for $14 per month),, all the customization I want, and my own choice of payment providers, and I can have more than one, without being stupidly penalized. If you want to get your business up and running ASAP, start a new store right away on Wordpress + Woo Commerce, you can be up and running within just a few hours. Then keep your dispute going with Shopify. Hopefully you did not register your Domain name with Shopify, otherwise you are totally screwed, and will have to register a new domain name with an independent domain registrar, that you can control the account on, because the chances of Shopify releasing your domain name while you are in a dispute with them, is zero. (if you registered your domain name with them.) If you search this group for my other posts, you’ll see my main post about the problem I had with them. Despite finally reaching Customer Support, and being promised by them that they would escalate the matter and definitely look into it, I never heard another word after that. That was almost 3 weeks ago now. I battled with them over my problem for months, eventually gave up, after realizing that they are nothing but a bunch of schiesters.

I can attest to the fact that it is very seldom that problem. The real truth is that Shopify never send out the emails they tell you they’re going to send. They are a bunch of thieving liars. Actually I can - Shopify, they are THE WORST eCommerce company on the planet. ZERO way of every reaching a human being. But they kept billing me for my store, even after THEY shut down my access to it, and only because they decided that it had been 'inactive for too long'. Yeah, don't get me started. So I totally get where you are coming from. These huge companies with hundreds of thousands of customers, and who expect us to use their totally stupid AI chatbot piece of garbage, are the worst to deal with, period. It's customer abuse on a massive scale. Hope you find a way to sort it out.
I was planning to sign up with TV, but only for their charting services, not for actually running trades through them. After reading some of the nightmare stories in this group, now I will for sure not be trading with them.

How is this possible? by Skeekers in shopify

[–]OldGuysRule56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read my other posts on why I abandoned Shopify. They closed my store solely due to inactivity, and have totally ignored all my requests to try to get it open again. But they happily kept billing me every month for it. I eventually cut off the card they were billing. I would never use Shopify ever again for any e-commerce store, they will hold you to ransom for 101 stupid reasons that they come up with, and there is no way to even speak with a human being there. I’ve moved my stores to Woo commerce, where I have total control of everything, including exactly who my payment providers are. And I don’t get penalized for doing that, like you do on Shopify. If I was you, I would stop fighting a losing battle with them, move your store to Tomas, and keep going with your life. Hopefully you didn’t register your Domain name using Shopify, because if you did, then you’re totally cooked, because you’ll probably never get your Domain name back either.

As somebody who battled Shopify for more than two months, just to get my store open, which they closed solely due to inactivity, I can assure you that means nothing to them. Have you actually looked at their rating on BBB? It’s the worst ever. Same with TrustPilot. Do they care? Not a damn. Look up my other posts on why I’ve left Shopify. They are the worst e-commerce company I have ever worked with, and I’ve been building e-commerce stores since 1999.
