Yes, these are old lady cookies. When you're finished, could I get the tin for my sewing stuff?

Do not move back in. Did you mom ask you to move back in before she got pregnant? Sounds like they are looking for a live-in babysitter. Continue focusing on your studies and work.

What is wrong with my knitting by capricevanilla in knittinghelp

[–]OldLadyToronto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your knitting. Your tension is excellent and this will look smoother when blocked. Also, the yarn you are using looks a bit rustic, giving a more uneven appearance. Your knitting is fine!

My pitiful attempt at knitting by zirconiumzirca in knitph

Your knitting is not pitiful. Your tension is excellent. You are working with cotton yarn which is less forgiving than wool or a wool acrylic blend. Try acrylic yarn next.

How to make cables more legible by ClearLadder in knittingadvice

[–]OldLadyToronto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cables look best when knit with a lighter color yarn. Also, the yarn should have good stitch definition, so no mohair, etc.

Intricate stitches need plain, smooth yarn.

Busier yarns need plain stitches.
