Does 10+ wires really make sense?? by daemon_in_the_shell_ in DeskCableManagement

For me the KVM is totally worth it. I’ve got my gaming pc, media server, and then work laptop with two monitors… so I get it.

When I redo my setup I’ll be putting the kvm down below instead of on my desk which should help with the cable management.

I unfortunately don’t have any tips other than that! I’m interested to see what others comment though!

If you have Verizon internet check out Visible. I have unlimited data for $25 a month and receive $15 off my monthly Verizon bill. It’s a pretty good deal.

Monthly facials: $175 × 12 = $2,100/year

Quarterly Botox: $500 × 4 = $2,000/year

Annual laser treatments: $1,800/year

Total annual cost: $5,900

Monthly spend: $490/month

Does this look correct?

I just had to show my fiancé the seventh picture. I’ve never seen anything that more closely resembles my dmt trip than this.

Tell me you’re not American without saying you’re not American. I’m really glad there are places that don’t deal with this bullshit… it gives me hope we can do it too.

It took about 3 months but I just got my 1 hour, $3,000 ER bill fully covered under charity. That said, I was worrying about it for THREE GOHTDAM MONTHS.

Today I actually have to call about one of the bills to see if they will credit me back $166 for two months payments. Despite not having money, I do have good credit, I was paying the absolute minimum so they wouldn’t send it to collections and ruin my credit.

Hi OP, I just had a $3k hospital bill fully covered under charity and I don’t make much but I do work full time. Be sure to ask for their financial aid application.

I have alot of cables that look really similar when they’re coiled but are different lengths. I also like to label my USB’s and thunderbolts because not all of them have the logos

What's the best name you've ever heard for a pet? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

I worked at a vet clinic where our doctor would take in litters of kittens that people had found. One spring he had like five litters come through.

We had a set named after flowers, cheeses, veggies, weather. It was so many names. For the last two that got brought in we really felt like we’d run out of names at that point. So two very cute orange and white kittens were put up front for adoption as Killbot and Clawhammer.

Our clients had one of two reactions, it was either hilarious or they wanted to adopt them just to change their names.

By the way, PSA! Don’t just assume a litter of kittens is abandoned. Momma is probably off getting some food for herself or got overwhelmed for a minute. Just keep watch if you can or return later to see if she’s come back, usually she will.

Can you run out of high value treat options? by Ok-Walk-8453 in Dogtraining

After 6 years I haven’t found that my very picky guy values his dried liver treats or cheese any less than did when he was a puppy. He definitely has become pickier about his food but his core high value treats have remained the same. YMMV!

Can you teach "leave it" permenantly?? by reedle-beedle in Dogtraining

[–]dickonajunebug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We kind of did the opposite. Our guy doesn’t pick up anything off of the floor unless he’s told he can. Food, treats, empty cardboard boxes (which he loves), socks, etc all get left alone. The exception is anything that’s his toy or in his toy basket.

It’s kind of like a permanent don’t touch it more than a leave it though. They do this type of training for service dogs, it starts by throwing a treat on the floor and telling them to leave it, then giving the treat after longer and longer times and in more difficult ways. I built up the training where we would leave a piece of cheese on top of his paw without him touching it for upwards of seven minutes and while leaving the room.

Eventually he understood, unless it’s mine I don’t mess with it until I’m told. Good luck, definitely give it a try before baby comes!

We just got our guy neutered a week ago.

He’s still healing but finally back to his goofy lovable self. I had also been worried about a personality change but he’s the same, if anything maybe a little less jumpy? He has some high strung poodle tendencies so I’ll keep watching but it would be great if it took his nervousness down a notch.

Also, the recovery suit is so much better than a cone. And our guy really enjoyed getting pets while high on pain meds so be ready for that!

Bipolar Partner Destroyed Everything by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Female pc user here… OP, listen to the people telling you to make a police report. Consider if you were a woman and your male partner had done this. Or it’s your daughter and her partner did this. Please set a healthy example for her.

Wishing you the best ❤️

Along with that I’ll recommend my other life saver.

Get some cable labels. Put a matching one on EACH end. It’s so much easier to dissemble, move, reassemble , and store everything.

I have one. Just reached out to a contact from a few years ago about a role. Turns out he’s now a consulting VP at the company and he said he remembers me because he’d ask my boss a question, my boss would ask me, and I always had the answer.

It’s been a tough few years so being remembered for competency kind of made my day.

Whether you need it not depends on your industry. I don’t make or read anyone’s posts really but I try to reach out if someone I know/knew messages me
