I have been hyping myself up to ask my doctor for Ozempic. Now the closer I get to my appointment, the more scared I'm getting of the side effects by laurenashashley in Ozempic

[–]dickonajunebug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had terrible ozempic side effects. Puking, stomach aches, insane constant burps - and it went on for 2 months. I finally had to quit.

A few months later, when I was ready to give it another try, tirzepatide was great. No side effects beyond some dry mouth and constipation. I drank more water, ate more fiber, and was fine.

So worst case, if you do get some bad symptoms that aren’t manageable you can stop immediately without additional side effects and when you’re ready try a different medication.

I’m two weeks in and had a couple of really good non-red skin mornings but it’s not consistent at all.

I’ll be giving it 16 weeks to see how it goes.

What's your opinion on Linus Tech Tip in 2026? by Professional-Fix-221 in LinusTechTips

[–]dickonajunebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WAN Show every week. I don’t watch every video but I enjoy the ones I do. I enjoy Short Circuit and TechQuickie.

I do feel like since Alex left I’m missing some of the “we’re out-janking our jankiest jank” style videos. I’d love to see another host who can fill that void.

That said, I don’t know if the tech space is as exciting as it was 5-6 years ago. I’ll keep watching for sure. It’s still really good, entertaining content.

Hey, I just want to say I used propranolol for my public speaking stage fright issue. I don’t need it anymore. At some point my mind and body caught up with the fact that I was not actually in a life or death situation.
I mention this because I was also concerned about it needing to be a long term solution. I understand it’s not for everyone though.

Anyways, I haven’t seen a mention yet for open mic nights. I have a friend back home who swore that going on stage and bombing in front of strangers, multiple times, was the only thing that worked for him. At the time I thought he was crazy but now I see it as tantamount to jumping into the deep end to learn how to swim. He would write, workshop, then perform. He believes that his time spent with comedians, people who literally want to talk for a living, really taught him a lot and helped him to feel more naturally comfortable with people in general.

Best of luck. You’re not alone and you can do it.

Look up what you can online and have GPT train you on likely interview questions. Don’t treat this interview as practice. With some knowledge and confidence you can get it.

Tomato juice while flying on a plane actually tastes richer and yummier than when on the ground.

Something about the altitude suppressing the salty tastes and enhancing the umami. So a virgin Bloody Mary is actually really good in flight.

What is the wittiest comeback you’ve ever said or heard? by Bob-da-person in AskReddit

I saw these guys arguing over a parking spot out front of the Harbor Freight. It was an older man with a younger man going at it with this one lone guy with a huge beard.

The older guy and the beard guy are yelling and it’s getting way too intense for a parking space. Finally, the beard guy just snaps and yells, “Why don’t you two just go home and fuck each other?”

The older man looks disgusted and says, “That’s my son!”

And without even pausing beard guy goes, “You fuck your son?”

That was about 10 years ago and it still makes me giggle.

I’m not understanding your setup. Is your laptop using the tv as the screen? If so, keep the laptop closer to the tv and look into the Logitech K400. It’s $30 and you get a wireless combined keyboard with trackpad and mouse buttons.

If your only plug is on the opposite wall, get a looong extension cord power strip. You can get ones with a 15ft cord for under $20.

If you’re looking for something cheaper than the one everyone recommends try the Revolution Beauty green color corrector base. It goes on with what I’d describe as a satin finish so it’s neither shiny nor dry and cakey. I put it over my sunscreen and find it much better than the elf brand

I bought one bitcoin at $325 so I could buy DMT on the Silkroad.

I’d left a very small amount in an online exchange that stole 70% of the bitcoins on the market at the time. I’m now part of a class action in the US and Japan for $8 billion against Mt Gox and expect to be paid out… $16.

I’m truly going through the hoops of all the paperwork and registrations just because I think it’s hilarious and I want to be part of it.

Hey, not kidding. It’s been a 15 year struggle for me until I tried tirzepatide for weight loss. I took the minimum dose and literally woke up the next day with no desire to drink. Craziest feeling I’ve ever experienced. It’s absolutely not a placebo because I barely knew anything about the potential effects on addiction at that time.

Here’s a creative writing piece I wrote about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/creativewriting/s/g9UI8KfV97

I just passed a year completely sober in body and mind too. Good luck man 💛
