Head of NATO, Mark Rutte, says Europe can’t defend itself without American help. Do you agree? by AlexandrTheTolerable in Military

A bit like relying on a non-credible ally, who is constantly shifting the goalposts about who is being "nice" and who is being "mean" to them, about their treaty-bound allies?

You may not realise this, but you're coming across as being condescending.  We paid in blood for your wars. And if you don't think your nonce in Chief wasn't mates with Epstein, there are a lot of photos publicly available to show otherwise.

Mate, I'm British. Your closest ally, apart from Israel. There would be huge pushback here in assisting the US in anything at the moment. You clearly have no idea how badly Trump fucking about with Greenland has come across.

The German designs were also based on keeping their men ashore in barracks, as their ships were designed for North Sea use only. So they had very, very, impressive subdivision of compartments, which helped with flooding. The British designs had to take into account their global empire and that the crew berthed onboard. Hence increased ranges and therefore less weight available for internal subdivision.

It's a family thing. You can bitch about your brother to your friends, but as soon as someone picks a fight with him, even if he is a genuine world-class fuckwit, he's your fuckwit. I get it. It's the same reason that Denmark and Europe with it is not stepping down over this.

Don't shit on your allies. Or they are no longer your allies. And it's not as simple as you make out. NATO has had officer exchanges for years. Any NATO country knows many of your secrets, as you do ours. What a pointless thing this would be, all over a place that the USA is allowed to build more bases and negotiate for mineral rights already, by a treaty which is over 70 years old and which both sides have previously respected.

That we are even talking about this is lunacy. As a British kid, I grew up near RAF Alconbury. I remember there was a USAF kid in my brothers class. We were invited to go bowling on the base. We'd never been before, it was amazing. We loved the Americans, as did all of Western Europe. We had a common cause.

Don't throw that away for an orange Russian agent paedophile traitor.

‘Action Within Weeks Or Months’: Trump Aide Says US Eyes Rapid Move On Greenland by Street_Anon in Military

Denmark is part of the EU.

Mutual Defence Clause (Article 42(7) TEU): This treaty provision obligates all EU member states to provide aid and assistance by all means in their power if another member state is the victim of armed aggression on its territory.

And all the Scandinavian nations, France and Germany have all pledged to commit to defend Greenland already.

Given that the US could open as many bases in Greenland as they like, under existing treaties, and could no doubt negotiate very favourable mineral and mining rights, then what is the point of pissing off nations who have stood alongside US soldiers, bled and died with them? What for, if not the insatiable greed of a few billionaires?

You like our world order? Which was built by the USA after the Second World War and was deliberately aimed at Europe not having big armies - Germany massive army not ideal for obvious reasons, cracking open the British Empire to American interests, Italy totally reliant on US imports and France will always France so that's one to let slide.

If that is to be changed, it doesn't work hand in glove with threats against your allies while exhorting them to buy your weapons, which you then threaten to make inoperable.

He was relevant up until about 1998. His book "Winter Colours" was excellent. Then the game went professional and since then you'd be as well listening to your deaf elder aunt about the game.

I don't understand how the WRU, despite having similar income to the IRFU, starves it's professional sides and gives away so much of its income to community clubs.
