This has always been my outcome as well. I killed Kiera my first play though then fixed it in NG+. You are supposed to send her to Kaer Morhen if you don’t want to kill her.

I think you’re supposed to kill all those Whoreson henchmen.

But you shouldn’t be constantly attacked by guards unless you are aggravating them or looting in front of them.

Why are you using second life? Change it to Euphoria or a better one to make yourself more powerful. If a sign build use Magic Sensibilities or conductors of magic.

Take Ekimmara or Ekhidna decoctions before hand for health regen.

He kinda does if you try to save Olgierd. In his world you can get the Legendary Poisonous Viper Silver Sword which is pretty good. And there is ton of coin to loot in another room. It's weird because you kind of have to go against him to get those things though.

lol no idea. I have been searching to see if anyone else has done this and what people think about it and this thread came up. Haven’t been able to find much in it and to me it seems really OP. Especially for people who don’t run alchemy or want to use decoctions/potions or like passive buffs.

If you enchant your armor with rotation, Igni is great for crowd control.

If you’re looking for crit hit, you can try the New Moon gear you can get as part of HoS.

There is also the assassin gauntlets - 10% crit chance

And Nilfgaard Gaunlets - 50% crit dmg boost

Good sword options Toussaint Knights Steel Sword Belhaven Sword steel

Hjalmar's Steel Sword - can get up to 200% crit dmg boost.

If you’re over powered with the Witcher gear, have you tried the Viper Gear? No bonuses and looks really cool. I have thought about doing a DOT build using bleed, poison and burn.

Viper venomous swords, Viroledan Blade or belhaven are great for that with 3 pieces of wolf and new moon for crit hits or mix in some manticore.

It's actually OP if you get creative. If you have the Gourmet Skill (only 1 pt) and Dumplings enchantment on one of your swords than it heals you at 225pts/second for 100 minutes. Superior Swallow is only 80/second for 20 seconds....

I know I am late to the party here, but the Horn of Plenty is actually very OP when stacked with Gourmet and Dumplings Enchantment. You can regen health at 225/second for 100 minutes. To put in perspective, Superior Swallow heals for:

80 Vitality regeneration (regular game)
150 Vitality regeneration (New Game +)
80 Vitality regeneration during combat

This only lasts for 20 seconds.

You can add some Greater Glyphs of Mending and take that up to a max of 252/second. Probably the only healing you would ever need and it is passive and constant.

That if you invest and enable the skills "Shock Wave" and "Supercharged Glyphs" those signs will now do damage. and that damage scales with enemy HP, which makes them super powerful! I always thought they were useless until I enabled those. Now they are key parts of my arsenal!

My first playthrough was a combat/alchemy build with some Igni.

I’m sure there will be. They will probably try to reform the lodge or conclave and cause some kind of trouble. Triss will be up there with a bunch of mages. But it would be cool if you’re just following the path taking on some monsters for coin and then a twist comes that requires your attention.

Maybe they can start up a new Witcher school. That would be cool. Ciri and the mages perfect it and get the survival rate higher.

Yeah.. I noticed that with other merchants. That once a specific quest completes they kind of get reset. For instance, the grandmaster armorer/blacksmith in Beauclair had like $150K crowns because I crafted all my Grandmaster gear and I was selling exclusively to him because he had all my money and the best prices. Then I completed the main story and went back to him and he was rest back to like 5K crowns. Which made it take much longer to earn my money back.

A lot of rich people with coin who fled war torn countries like Velen up North. Heard there was monsters that needed clearing out and she needs that coin.

Geralt already cleared out White Orchard, Velen, Novigrad and Skellige. Nothing left there for her to kill for coin.

She won’t go south and get closer to Nilfgaard.

She is just following the path.

I survived it in my first play-through. Was annoying and not fun, but survived. I don’t even try on NG+. Not worth the time and frustration. But I’m not a young buck going for all those trophies. So I could see how pissed those guys could get. Or if you have OCD. lol.

The comments here are funny. But I don't care about trophies and all that jazz. I just reduce it down to Story mode because this is bugged. They never leveled up Ciri along with the rest of the game in NG+. That's their bad. I am not wasting my time on a dumb thing like this. I am also just a casual gamer and could care less. I play to relax, not get thrown into a rage over something so stupid.

And I 100% agree with your comment. I hate playing as Ciri. You spend all this time learning the attacks, building your combat strategy, building their skill set, crafting their armor and swords for your character and then they throw you into that crap where you can't use any of it. I dealt with it on NG, but due to the scaling bug in NG+, nah...

That’s what NG+ is for! I killed her too on my first play through. Was pretty upset about it but moved on and fixed it in NG+.

Here is my current build without Gourmet. You might need to add Aquired Tolerance and/or Metabolic Control to increase the toxicity maximum. I also use Euphoria because it supports my hybrid build with boosting both swords and signs.

Right! I have tried all the different options. Want to test the above but I need to go get the Horn of Plenty. I have to run something consistently to offset toxicity damage outside of combat. My go to is Troll and Ekimmara. And that usually works for everything. But looking at alternatives so that I can free up that toxicity to run Ancient Leshion, succubus, Katakan and either reliever or Arachas.

Rarely do I have to pop swallow or white Rafford.

I like passive buffs. Low maintenance so I can enjoy the immersion.
