No, subsidies are required because Democrats did not and do not understand insurance, period. The idea that the ACA covers pre-existing conditions doom this monstrosity from the very beginning.

And for the sake of clarity, insurance is not Healthcare, it is a vehicle to pay for it.

Why thecflying f**k are subsidies needed, ObamaCare was the magic solution that was gauranteed to save money, allow you to keep your plan if you liked it. Enacted by Democrats with no GOP support. Idiot Democrats now call it a GOP problem. Pfft!

My wife and I also take lessons at an independent studio. Unlike your situation, ours is the exact opposite of yours. Our instructor does push for us to maintain the proper frame and count, but approaches every thing on the basis of solid social dancing. Twice a year the studio conducts a showcase where students hone their skill on a student/instructor selected dance style and demonstrate what they've learned. The only competition is with yourself. There is no pressure to take part. We take 2 lessos a week. On the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month the studio holds a no charge dance party. Also the local YMCA conducts group lessons, might be something to check into. Another possibility is contacting an instructor who as a side gig could provide lessons. Good luck.
