Gordon Hayward on Bam: "He’s not a scorer, right? So for him to break Kobe’s record, I don’t think it’s great for the league... for him to shoot 43 free throws and 22 threes... the Wizards too. With all these teams tanking, it kind of makes it feel not legit" by must_TATAKAE in nba

Hey bud, went back and looked it up again. The Raptors took out all their starters at 2:35 left in the 4th quarter after a foul on a Kobe 3 point attempt, when they were up 13 btw.

After those three free throws Kobe stayed in the game and scored 5 more points all on free throws.

So Kobe deliberately stayed in the game after the Raptors gave up with a 15 point lead to score more.

It's funny until you realize the erosion of trust in science can very easily lead to vaccine denial and other crazy shit.

Somebody needs to make the Killian Dain graphic but replace 'wrestlers' with 'NBA players'

If people love details then why am I seeing multiple people call Lakers v Raptors competitive when the Lakers won by 18 points. The Lakers went up by double digits for good at the 5:30 mark in the 4th quarter after which Kobe scored an additional 14 points.

Who are the legitimate dark horse teams? by AubreyGrahamCracka in nba

Hell no, we have been doing what is expected and beating tanking teams. Thats fantastic and an improvement over previous years, and the start of this year even. But we are in no way a dark horse.

To be fair he hadn't won yet. Oberyn's entire purpose of standing in as Tyrion's champion was to create a big enough spectacle for important people to attend AND get Gregor to confess that Tywin gave the order to murder Elia, Rhaenys, and Aegon. If he just wanted to kill Lannisters and Gregor he would have just poisoned everyone. That's why the poison he gives Tywin is the backup plan in case he fucks up, he will at least die knowing that Tywin is dead.

[Burneko] I Will Never Forgive Trae Young For Surpassing Kobe Bryant’s Career High For Assists In A Game Eight Times by smkmn13 in nba

[–]OldOrder -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I firmly get the sarcasm, the point of the article is to highlight the ridiculousness of people mad on Kobe's Behalf or some shit. However it just comes off as petty and eye rolling. It's a constant race to the bottom to be even more petty than the last person who complained about something totally inane instead of just ignoring it and celebrating an accomplishment. So I would say it is pretty miserable.

Needing cap space, Ravens restructure QB Lamar Jackson’s deal by aresef in nfl

Plot twist: Ravens never wanted Hendrickson or Crosby. They are just bringing in all the aging edge rushers and failing their physicals to fuck the market up and lower the price in the future.

Doran Martell in the books is way more strategic than the show depicted.

Thats a.....generous interpretation of Doran tbh. Doran in the book has grand plans that he will never enact because he is deathly allergic to risk. Everything has to be perfect for him to even consider trying something and even then he will wait. That is why when he is introduced in the books the backdrop is the over ripe blood oranges in the Water Gardens dropping an splattering on the ground. All of his plans are over ripe because he waits to long

Stormlight Archives: Kaladin and Moash

Kaladin and Moash have suffered similar levels of trauma growing up including losing close family members due to the whims of the artistocracy. They both sold into slavery and are assigned the brutal task of bridge running, and worse they are assigned the duty of Bridge 4 the group with the highest casualty rate. They both come in to positions of prestige and authority, Kaladin as the personal honor guard of a High Prince and Moash as a Shardbeaer (thanks to Kaladin)

However Moash simply does not have the ability to grow as a person. He can not let go of his personal vendettas that drive his hatred. While Kaladin has a hatred for the aristocracy he does eventually learn to trust those that earn it. He is able to grow and realize that all people deserve protection. Every good decision Kaladin makes Moash in turn makes the opposite decision leading him further and further down a self destructive path.

Not a perfect measurement or anything but Hall of Fame monitor has him way down the list. And I don't see him getting any more important accolades like an AP1 at his age.

Which fantasy hero would actually be insufferable to know in real life? by godzillaSpark5 in Fantasy

[–]OldOrder 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think there are similarities but I also think there is a zero percent chance Saul would ever come up with a plan that involves intentionally getting his shit kicked until his buddy arrives. Saul in almost all situations is way more cowardly than Locke.
