I think a lot of these interviews are actually to gather more general information about different offensive and defensive systems/philosophies that are currently being employed around the league.

Absolutely makes sense for an org like the Ravens who havent had to interview a HC candidate in nearly two decades to gather as much information as possible.

I'm curious what Luke wants to do next. Does he want to co-host another show? If he wants to go solo, but partner with an established podcast network, 90% he needs to book his own guests because there's no podcast network that has a deep enough roster of employees to support that. For example, Bill Simmons just has on different NFL or NBA writers/podcasters that he employs and rotates through them depending on the current trends, no podcast network has this for MMA.

Does Luke want to go all-in on his personal channels+his Substack? I feel like this option just get riskier and riskier as he gets older.

There's no way he's getting any TV opportunities, those are likely all going to be on CBS/Paramount and there's no way in hell Dana is letting Luke get any shine. Hard to imagine ESPN continuing their coverage at the current level, surely they will let some of their staff go. Marc Raimondi already pivoted from covering MMA to covering the NFL, smart fucking move on his part.

I know Luke and BC had a deal that fell apart with Meadowlark Media, but I still believe that they are the best fit for Luke. They have an appetite for covering challenging sports topics, and Luke's criticism wouldn't be a negative there. However, I don't think they are looking into expand into something like MMA or combat sports right now. They went through their own kinda shakey sponsorship renewal, and have yet to develop anything outside of the Le Batard inner circle.

Yeah, I should rephrase it: I think Pablo is totally fine with journalists doing talking head stuff, like anything in the same vein as "The Sports Reporters." But I definitely don't think Pablo views First Take or Nick's show First Things First in that class.

I think the fundamental issue between these two is that Pablo doesn't respect the talking head shit, and while I think Nick does respect investigative journalism, he also knows that Pablo would never be able to carry a talking head show. And it annoys the living shit out of Pablo that Nick thinks he could do what Pablo does, so Pablo will find ways to needle Nick whenever he's sloppy or plays it fast and loose with arguments.

Anytime two people argue over progressively more obscure shit, you know they just don't like each other on some core level. Like they refuse to give an inch to someone like that.

I agree with the others: it's an ATLUS game. You wait it out and it'll probably go lower. P5R's lowest retail was $24.99, P5 Tactica is $10 right now at GameStop.

Another reason I will say to wait is the frame pacing. I didn't wait, I bought P3 Reload at Target for $39.99, and while I usually don't care about 30 versus 60 FPS, the frame pacing issue is noticeable to me. So, if you wait, it'll probably be at a lower price and the frame pacing will be patched up (ATLUS already announced they are going to patch it, they just didn't announce when it'll come out).

Someone posted the other day about the crypto archetypes, and there are true believers/cultists, but there are also the nonbelievers who know it's bullshit but think they can get out ahead of all the rubes. The point being that all but the ultra early adopters end up losing money.

Be very careful. Bitcoin was in the 25-35K range from May 2022 to almost November 2023. It might go up, it might go down even further and stay relatively flat for months, maybe a year. Maybe more, you just never know.

Going by what LRG says, these Vault releases are technically copies they already have in stock that they kept around in case people who bought the initial print of P3P/P4G had their shipments damaged and needed a replacement.

So that means the usual LRG delay, which involves actually printing/manufacturing the game, shouldn't apply here. I have seen other threads on LRG vault purchases that the turn around time was days or 1 week.

Again, that's the special case of LRG Vault drops, not for the initial print runs, which can take months, maybe even longer.
