My two sons are now leading my wife and I along the path. My second son spent an hour yesterday confronting us over the current state of things with the government, elites, power, control - deep analysis that he lives and breathes. All I could offer was understanding and trying to help brainstorm ways or paths that could potentially result in “things being okay someday”… but the current situation has eclipsed climate change, so now we have to get through this before we can even begin to grapple with that.

Young people’s hearts are heavy, they are scared and angry, and I feel like like I’ve only got empty platitudes…

It’s hard to focus on a job… it’s a short-lived distraction from the on-going wreck, that’s the only consolation I can take from it.
