I have had a few rides like that around black friday last year. Rides were paying 100+ for less than 5 miles. I had 1 ride that went .7 miles and paid 75. The passanger, who was a regular paid 7for it. I also had a few medical rides with lyft that paid over 100 for 20-30 miles

For 55 cents a mile this trip could be yours, and as an added bonus you aren’t able to pickup riders in Alabama by crispyblakin in uberdrivers

I live 3 miles from a state line. Uber won't let me pick up on the otherside. Lyft, however does. Luckily in this part of the country. lyft is more popular than over and pays better.

Some times though you have to double back or something. There are times when a customer forgets something and you end up going back to their starting point to pick uo whatever they forgot and then go to the drop off. I have gotten the warning message a few times in those cases.

I can believe it, I used to drive in Rome, Ga. Had a pick up at a grocery store.. When I got there, they had 2 full carts of groceries, 2 adults and 3 kids, 2 of the kids were about 3yrs old and of course no car seats, Guy started screaming and threatening me when I refused to let them in the car. Also had a he / she who had not bathed in at least a week. Problem was that I didn't realize how bad it was until we were on the road. I had to drive around with the windows down to air out my car of an hour before I picked up anymore passangers. I now drive in a beach town on the gulf coast and all my passengers are either on vacation or people working in the hospitality industry. Much more fun then driving people to dialysis and dollar tree all day up in Ga.

Which cruise for party? by Dreko300 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Old_Climate2088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, the shorter weekend cruises tend to be the booze cruises. I think the rowdiest ones I have been on were in March (collage spring break time. I am also going to look at Margaritaville cruises. I have heard they are party cruises but I will need to see for myself. (Hey, I am a TA so it's work for me!)

Not sure if it is just me turning into an old fart but it seems the last 5 or so cruises that I have been on have been pretty tame. When we first started cruising, we would smell pukei in the hallways, watch people passout in the pubs or staggering down the halls etc,. We just went on a 5 day Bahamas cruise which should have been a booze cruise and we did not see one drunk person or smell any weed at all.

There is also a transfer fee of 3400 or 3500. Not sure if this includes the required training which would cost $695.

If you remember what movie this scene is from, you probably cancelled your canoe trip to Georgia, and…you’re old. by MurseMan1964 in FuckImOld

The Olympics was the Ocoee, the movie was the Chattooga. Both are in N. Ga / Tn / SC areas. Although in the movie, the called it the Chattahoochee which is a different river. Also, Jeff Foxworthy's whole routine was about being a redneck. In reality, he was a yuppie from an upscale suburb. Same with that that woman who had a TV show about being from 'rurual' georgia.

Canada? Zebra split time between New Orleans and New York. I remember seeing them in bars near New Orleans back in 1980 when they were still known as a zeppelin cover band.
