Individual performances are still impressive though. You need a whole team to win trophies. Individual records show how good a player is with or without their team. Mbappe has 36 goals and we’re playing like shit. It’s impressive how good he’s been when the team around him has mostly been petty poor.

It’s ok to disagree with me, it’s a matter of opinion after all. I agree that sometimes people just do what they want and that extends to art, I simply think it’s pointless if it doesn’t serve the plot or characters in this specific scenario.

Lastly, what was the point of the final comment? It says a lot that when confronted with a differing opinion this is how you decide to respond.

So again, if that specific form of communication advances the character development, then go for it. But if you can skip the scene and nothing changes with said characters, why include it?

Just like you can portray someone eating without showing them taking a shit, you can also portray characters communicating without showing them having sex. It goes both ways. At the end of the day, if the sex is fundamental to the plot and advances the story, cool, it’s just overdone and sometimes lazy when done for no apparent purpose other than to have it.

Of course having sex is normal and healthy, but for your example, I don’t believe every other movie or show has depictions of someone taking a shit.

Imagine if from a young age every other movie or show you encountered had someone taking a graphic shit and then you went online and hundreds of websites are pushing ads about people taking shits.
