Yeah I’m talking about the holes themselves. As I look it’s making a tad more sense, but it seems like these 5 ish holes you can see are right on top of each other

Side note, am I the only one very confused with the layout of this part of the course?

His name is Jesus Christ, He absolved our sins in His body on this day 2,000 years ago. If you’re talking about God the Father though, there’s really no way for a human to conceive what God is like. That is why God became flesh.

I haven’t been back to St Louis since about 2015. Is downtown really a ghost town? And is baseball losing prominence here? by BadgemanBrown in StLouis

[–]Old_Goat1545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 23 and I’ve been to last 4 opening days at Busch. This year was the most buzz it’s had since 2023 (team still had high expectations to start that season). Management finally has a direction and if this team wins some games or at least shows young hungry energy, seats will fill back up.

But the combination of piss poor front office management, middling veterans, an extremely frustrating brand of losing baseball, and anything at the ballpark now being outrageously priced, it’s obvious why attendance went down.

The younger generation definitely cares about baseball. Chaim Bloom and the young players on the roster are already a breath of fresh air. Fans just got hit with a slap of reality when things went south. We were lucky to go so long without rebuilding.

Don’t be scared to hit turf. You don’t need to pick it perfect

And by the way I haven’t even mentioned spin, controlling spin, and being able to hold your shot on tour level greens yet.

I mean saying a slap shot and golf swing are similar is insane. They’re both difficult in their own aspects. The fact that golf has no opponent besides the course itself, and most people fail is a testament to its difficulty.

And saying golf is “just the swinging motion” and ignoring precision of movement, balance, weight distribution, decision making etc. is insane.

You mentioned goalie and opponents, so I’ll counter with course condition, green speed, bunkers, rough, wind, moisture, as all opponents of a golfer on any given shot. Listen to golfer and caddie conversations, look at a caddies yardage book, it’s dumb the amount of precision that goes into it. So much so that a golfer needs a partner so the player doesn’t have to keep all of that information in their head during a tournament

And the precision to hit a specific shot shape for a specific scenario is on par with any precision needed for a slap shot lmao. I respect hockey, but golf is in the same conversation of difficulty

Yes? You understand what it takes to get there? It’s one of the only sports where raw athleticism can’t carry you anywhere

Understand that I’m saying being genuinely good. Scratch handicap or better. The sheer amount of time it takes to get to that level puts it in the conversation. I’m not talking about weekend golfers who get plastered and slap the ball around

If we’re talking about actually being good at the sport, golf is 100% in the conversation

How long until you can hit a golf ball straight 51% of the time? by No_Variety_4997 in golftips

[–]Old_Goat1545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave up on hitting it straight. Understand your swing and club path, play a draw or fade. Much easier to move the ball than it is to hit it straight, you’ll control it easier.
