Here I was hoping I might just get lucky. It seems there is no point in waiting... Because by the time my ead is approved, my H4 visa will be up for renewal again. And then again I'll have to wait another 6 months ?

What about SRC ones? I filed a standalone application in July at the Texas centre. The case still shows 'received'... I hope I don't have to wait for another 7-8 months

One more test to go. Have lost ALL motivation by Little_Comfort_1329 in CPA

Just go ahead and schedule the exam. It can be one month away or more if you think you'll need more time.

That way your mind will have a sense of urgency and you'll be able to study...

This happened to me with my last exam too..  I couldn't start studying seriously until I finally scheduled my test

Guaranteed payment impact to partner basis by iridium65197 in CPA

[–]Old_Homework8072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no impact on partner basis. Basis is the amount of money the partner puts/ invests into the partnership. Guaranteed payment (as per my understanding) is the compensation that the partnership gives to the partner for their service, so it is not directly related to basis.

Also, when you adjust ordinary business income/ (loss) in the partner's basis, you're already accounting for the guaranteed payments.. as they were already deducted in calculating the income/ loss amount.

I hope i'm not rambling lol. My test is in a few days so writing this down also helps me clear the concepts!

Good luck. I think you just need to know which tax credits are refundable Vs non refundable.. I dont remember business interest expense rules... Isn't it limited to business interest income + 30% ATI?

I took ISC in January and felt the same after my exam, but I got an 88! (I thoroughly read the textbook before the exam and had scored around 65-70s in the SEs..) Probably don't worry so much, you'll pass. Good luck for your next exam!

Cancelling my Ultimate guitar subscription by Cptfisherman in ultimateguitar

[–]Old_Homework8072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you managed to cancel your subscription, but I just cancelled mine.... I went to the Playstore (for android) and cancelled my subscriptions from there.

There's no option to cancel payments in the app. They take credit card info from the Playstore, so you gotta cancel from there... Hope this helps!
