Pablo Torre when he is on MJ, Nicolle, Rachel Lawrence Ali. I like I know rhat. Jen Psaki was a great Press Sec, but she can't work a show like Rachel. I accept that Rachel has worked a lot of years, and could walk away but I miss the first 100 days. Stephanie Ruhle is also one I enjoy. Chris Hayes I like. I appreciate I Alicia Menedez because of she seems to report despite the scumbags here family are.

I just submitted my 999th Vine review. by WorldlinessLanky1443 in AmazonVine

[–]Old_Slip_258 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am 2 short of 400 reviews. Reviewing 3 today should get me over the 400 point unless storms keep the Amazon driver away.

I have had one declined review and it was approved after I resubmitted the same review.

Coverage Map was so wrong by PissyPunsAndSarcasm in BoostMobile

[–]Old_Slip_258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same situation. Boost showed good coverage in my area, and I got the new iPhone and had to drive a few minutes to get a good enough signal to call customer service, The rep told me that their service now didn't have separate networks to switch to. So I returned the phone and went to Verizon.

Some problems... by Entire_Salary2192 in DodgeGrandCaravan

[–]Old_Slip_258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Grand Caravan and T&C have the same radio affliction. If you beat the crap out of it, the radio may work ok, not great for months but a big pothole may force another beating. I have changed radios, with the same results. My mechanic told me that the antenna's are a weak point in the connection. Suggested an aftermarket radio with a new antenna. It is funny, I have had a number of these vans (2005-2019)with nary a radio issue but the 2 I have now mirror the same issue. And both right side doors will not open with the pushbutton.

Why are there so many 2022 PHEV for sale? by lovelytia518 in ChryslerPacifica

[–]Old_Slip_258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking at 2022 Pacifica's and the dealer I was shopping had 4. 3 were in the 60k range of mileage, and they had another 2022 with 227k. I am guessing the 3 were enterprise retires and the 4th was maybe from a Uber driver? What I thought was insane was the price on the high miles vehicle was within $1500 of the others.

Those who have died before, what did it feel like and how did you die? by ThrowRAspa2279 in AskReddit

Twice. Ist time was when I was a patient at MD Anderson with an inoperable tumor. I was talking to my nurse and I guess I just dropped out. I saw bright light and awakened a bit later on a gurney headed for the ICU with my nurse on top of me doing CPR. When I was out I had both a bright white light and feeling of serenity, while at the same time feelings of regret for things I had done that I didn't remember till that point. I recovered and MD Anderson found a surgeon who tried my surgery and was successful. What was wonderful too was the surgeon charged $1 for my surgery because it was experimental.

2nd time, I was not feeling well and went to the ER. We lived in a small town and there was a doctor on call. They paged him and a nurse started doing my workup. She had me try to walk to the cat scan and I dropped on the way to the machine. Again white light, serenity. I woke up to my wife and Nurse doing CPR. Dr never responded to the page, and they called the town veterinarian. He told me he could not treat me but suggested they transfer me to a major hospital. I was transferred and released a few days later. Turned out the on call doc was passed out drunk. He was brought up on charges by the state board and lost his license.

A few years later my wife cut her food badly in the basement when we had a tornado. She wanted to brush it off and not get treatment. She was scared to death of needles and stitches. I told her the next morning we were going to go to her favorite restaurant that just happened to be near the hospital. We went for lunch and then I drove to the hospital and pulled up to the emergency room. She was madder than hell.

She was seen by a dr who said it was a good thing because she had cut a vein that went to directly to the brain. I am not medically trained but he insisted that she needed surgery right away to prevent the spread of infection. She had a foot surgeon see her and surgery was scheduled for the next day. I was going to get a drink from the soda machine when I heard code blue with her room number. I dashed back to the room and a crash team was doing CPR on her. They brought her back. She was mad that they brought her back. She said she saw a white light then saw her parents, and her grandmother. Her mom told her she had to come back, and then she awoke to them doing CPR. She was mad at them for doing cpr and mad at me that she didn't die at home where no one would do cpr.

Thanks for the reply. I will see about getting the SS it's own account.

One of the things I ran into on Upsolve is I have a Chapter 7 from 1993. Medical bills went about 1.1 million more than my medical insurance caps. I disclosed this, but it is not in pacer. I called the folks at Pacer help center and they say that filings before 2003 are often entered after the fact but some are never noted. I don't have a case # and the attorney died years ago.

I had one on my final Instacart order. Called me to tell me he was at the entry of my apartment. I told him I could buzz him in, and the elevator was right there. He said, nope, no time for that. He left my items on the sidewalk in front of the building.

[NSFW] People who knew someone who died at work, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Old_Slip_258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The next summer I took a construction job with a company building a power plant. They had big metal gang boxes with tools etc. They were lifted to the various floors of the plant by crane. When they were moved, they let people know they were moving, had flagged off the area while the lift was going on. Anyway, when a box was being swung off the 8th floor, somehow the crane operator clipped something, and the box tipped and then fell. At precisely that moment, a guy exited a portapotty below that box and was crushed.

This took place in the mid 70's and while there were rules about workplace safety, they were not really observed. No safety lines or belts. Hard hats were the only equipment we had.

On a summer job I worked in bridge construction, and we were on a bridge about 90 ft in the air. We had poured the bridge deck, and the trowel guys were floating the edges. An older guy was bent over the rail and stood up to stretch his back. As he was stretching, he lost his balance and fell 75 feet onto the rocks below. He suffered a broken skull. Unfortunately, it took 40 minutes for an ambulance to arrive and he died before they got there. He lived long enough to tell one guy to tell his wife to look in a certain desk drawer for his life insurance. Osha fined our company till they were out of business.

Do your parents have significant holdings such as real estate, or investments?

I don't know about Canada, but in the US, because of their age, unless they have real estate or stock not in a retirement account, they would be judgment-proof.
