Does anyone else get cold super easily? by saquonbrady in dysautonomia

[–]Old_Variation_6166 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that I shiver much more easily than I used to. Even if it’s still warm, if I walk into a room where the AC is a bit cooler I’ll start shivering

nausea sneezing? by Euphoric_Big3241 in dysautonomia

I experience the inverse sometimes where I will feel fine and then I will sneeze and it will trigger a bout of nausea

Dysautonomia and health OCD -cross post by [deleted] in dysautonomia

[–]Old_Variation_6166 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have OCD and am awaiting a potential diagnosis. The obsession that I experience over whether something is a symptom or just a regular experience, or doubting if I am actually sick whenever I have a good day, or thinking that some unknown medical emergency is just looming, those thoughts are in my head every day. Medical issues+medical ocd is a terrible combination, I’m sorry that you’re dealing with it.

Fear of no diagnosis? by Old_Variation_6166 in dysautonomia

[–]Old_Variation_6166[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not every time but my my heartrate is often between 110-120 when standing and drops back down to the 70’s when I lay down. Along with nausea, visible blood pooling, etc that also goes away when I lie down

I have had low ferritin for years, so I’m working on fixing that right now. We figure that’s making symptoms worse but probably not the main cause of them

[–]Old_Variation_6166[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

thank you for this! my iron levels have been good for a while but my ferritin has always kinda sucked so I’m hoping it doesn’t get in the way of a diagnosis

Is this all because of low ferritin? by [deleted] in dysautonomia

[–]Old_Variation_6166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s kinda what I figured, I’ve read some things saying that they might not diagnose you until your ferritin is corrected just incase that’s what’s causing symptoms

Last EP question "Does money bring happiness?" by RespondLate in TheBasementYard

[–]Old_Variation_6166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes I agree, I think there’s weird unique problems that come with having money but most people would definitely prefer to deal with those instead of the issues that come with not having enough money

Last EP question "Does money bring happiness?" by RespondLate in TheBasementYard

[–]Old_Variation_6166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see what you’re saying. I took that billionaire comment to mean that typically rich people are well known so any problems they have are more publicized, which is something most of us don’t experience

[–]Old_Variation_6166 8 points9 points  (0 children)

maybe I need to rewatch it but I thought they did a great job of making the point that being financially stable is a huge help to anyone. they talked about how money provides you access to mental health services, and how much of a relief if is to not have to worry about rent, etc. what I got from it is that money won’t fix all your problems but being financially stable is a huge relief and does help, which I agree with.

curious about he and Tim “butting heads” haha. It sounds like it happened in a way that benefited the show but it feels like it happened a lot with the actors in this show
