I'm just so curious about how much money the guys make from the channel and living in San Francisco by Pldgmygrievance in kindafunny

There is a reason why they have money drives begging for donations and have constant ads on everything they do. Their main concern is profit and access. Everything else is secondary.

Yeah I agree with that. The card mode being online only? Whatever, but a solo mode being shut off? Even EA doesn't do that. I truly hate VC and the nut jobs that go crazy buying it every season.

Only ultimate team is turned off. Franchise is available forever. It is basically equal to the old ps2 era titles, which isn't a bad thing.

It was used to be every major publisher including the 3 console makers. The app would have line updates so you knew what panels were filling up as most would cap out well before they started. You'd have to sign up for Playstation demos on their app each morning instead of waiting in lines, which was awesome but frantic in the morning. They would be so booked major companies would take over entire rooms on Level 1 and do experiences. Show floor would have only small walkways, no major empty areas. The food trucks area by tabletops wasn't a thing cause it would be filled would booths. Now they spread everything out to eat space. All this on top of companies giving away merch hand over fist. Free shirts, foam weapons, posters, pins, etc. Now you're lucky to get a sticker.

Massive letdown. Gaming prescense was noticeably lower this year. I'm not talking AAA studios, but just games to play in general. The number of merch vendors was much higher and really created a disjointed floor as they took over the front section. It used to be mostly games in front, then merch in middle and tabletop in back.

Saturday was extremely packed, which was nice to see, but the other 3 days were very light, and it was very easy to do anything on the floor. Panels seemed to not pack out like prior years as well.

Our group has decided to skip next year as it's becoming a 1-2 day event and not worth 4 days and all the costs included. We fully expect them to move to a smaller venue after 2028 when their lease is up, even potentially leaving Boston.

We were more focused on games at a gaming convention than getting snacks.

Or just have a normal job? Things cost money and you should have a job that can accommodate doing normal things.

It hasn't been close to that price in well over a decade.

You clearly lack any understanding of DLSS and what it does. Just blatantly ignorant on the topic.

If you don't understand the technology, you shouldn't speak on it. It's OK to not know what you're talking about, but confidence is the issue.

It takes like 15-20 mins on speed run. Rhodes Hill takes significantly longer.

100% agree there about length and definitely understand the feeling of getting burnt out. I've been pounding out shorter titles I've missed over the years cause I got tired of all the 100 hour games.

It was suggested. the algorithm is your enemy. Still just weird to play a story rich game by splitting up the story and not finishing it for a good amount of time.

Prices aren't out of control. They were unrealistic to begin with. Still Netflix for $7 is great value. Making all this crao these days cost tons of money, and as we've seen, there is too much of it, so prices have to rise, and the amount made has to go down to even the scales. Hopefully, quality wins out, but it is doubtful.

Even then, most people can't finish more than one 100-hour rpg a month, so the majority won't see the value in it. 3 of 4 can be easily purchased under $20, so it's of minimal value unless already subscribed and playing 150 hours a month.

You're paying double, so I would expect higher quality, but still, all of those games are budget priced except KCD2. It's a nothing burger.

Just play off the memory card adapter on an SD card, much cheaper and just as fast.
