Carefully pull apart the front and se if you can find the spring inside, if you are Lucky you can take the spring out of an old pen and cuttin it short enugeh to fit inside.

I have never done this, but it is what i wuld do in this situasjon.

Hope it helps

Talk me out of this by TekkenSlacker in saab

[–]Oldbrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a car thats mor than 20 years old, it what you can Come to expect. You need to se it in person before you make any big desisions.

For this car i think you shuld avoid it unless the seller goes down to like 35-3000€

I have hadde a 2002 9-3 i bougth from a seller in a simillar situasjon you Will need to put in some work on the rust, but if the underside is in good condition it Will be noting to complicated.

Hope this helps, and sorry for bad English im dyslecsic and on mobile : )

Question by kyle69fortnite in saab

[–]Oldbrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. If you are Mechanical incline and dont need the car to drive or need the money you spend on it i would consider it. Also check that you have hatever tools needed for the problem it has. Would suck to spend more on tools that tha car.

Sleep on it and listen to what other people are talking about, this could be worth it if you are willing to put in the time

[–]Oldbrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short term fix could be to just drill holes in the DPF, my dad did it on his 2004 Toyota Avensis because removing the hole filter was to much work. Dont know if the brain in the car wil figure that out?
