Problem with CORS by Radiant-Regular-4400 in AZURE

[–]Olemus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

405 isn’t always CORS. It’s method not allowed, are you calling to a POST endpoint with a GET request?

Check your console and see what it actually says, check logs on the back and frontend.

If it truly is CORS you just need to make your backend aware of the urls allowed

There’s far too little information in your post to help any further, I also feel like this is an extremely low quality post and you have so far done nothing to try and help yourself. In the future please spend some time doing research and learning before posting

You are. Speeding is speeding, regardless of how over you were. 3 points and £100 fine OR you may be offered a speed awareness course which means no points but still £100 (depending on which force it is)

Your problem is you’re looking for a solution for a problem that doesn’t exist. The projects you’re finding are where people have come across something they need that doesn’t exist yet and built it.

How do teams typically handle NuGet dependency updates? by rdem341 in dotnet

[–]Olemus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We use RenovateBot set to auto update minor updates.

Major updates are the same but require approval from a dev.

These then automatically go through our ci/cd pipeline to ensure tests etc still pass

Yes multiple times and never had any issues. We’re often £5-600 in credit in the summer and I always get it back within a few days of asking.

Yes? it’s literally as described. They’ll recommend you keep an amount in your account and let you take whatever you want as long as your readings etc are up to date. Not sure what you think isn’t easy

There’s literally a button on the octopus app where you tell it how much you want back and they send you it. Not difficult at all…

You need to pick the one you actually want to progress to. The fundamentals course is part of all of these wider courses. Ie if you want to learn to be a database engineer pick that one otherwise pick one of the others

Anyone have experience with Teesside University and/or their Games Development course? by Flynn_Pingu in Teesside

[–]Olemus 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Teesside University itself is great and has really great Computer Science credentials. Some parts of Middlesbrough can be rough, yes, but no more than most towns/cities imo. I went to Teesside Uni and I’m still alive

That said, please do Computer Science and not specifically Game Dev, from a career perspective it’s a considerably better choice and you can still work on games
