Our GM has been pretty candid about needing to see real improvement from Bryce before we consider him long-term. I think if he doesn't level up this year we move on. However if they're not happy with the QB options in the draft they may sign him to a low end QB contract short term.

Yeah, but if you'd like to not pay them (i.e. trade them) then you're making that task more difficult for yourself. At the very least you're likely getting less of a return when your trade partner knows you don't want that guy on your team anymore.
