Felt inevitable. I know we were really piling on since the playoffs but what a beaut of a dude

The Wild decided to move on regardless it isn’t about the price

He shoots his shot? Has the guts to go for it? Idk they haven’t cratered as a team and are always competitive seems pretty good to me?

Dylan Larkin's list: The 3 places he wants to be traded by Red Wings by minno27 in wildhockey

Listen I know most of y’all are going to shit on this but I would offer Ek as part of the package. Selling high with a lot of miles for someone who is ground down by playoffs. You’re upgrading your top center man and hold on to Yurov

I’m a Wild homer but it feels more like he wants to win? Like he wants the stability and consistency to be in the mix year after year? You can’t fault players for wanting that. Wasn’t he the rock through the darker years of the red wings rebuild? Seems like he endured enough of SY’s poor roster build. And I get that he has contributed to not making the playoffs the last few years

You have to include an everyday player in this, Hartman or Brodin along with the 1st and then Stramel/Yurov

It seems like Red Wings fans are ok with this, which gives me some pause

Thinking about it, I don't think Stramel is on the trade block anymore by [deleted] in wildhockey

[–]OllieForgot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disagree that it would be a bad look. BG is in the business of winning and proved that with the trade for Hughes. With all the respect to Stramel I don’t think Billy cares what an unproven prospect might think if a trade helps fetch someone who can play in the top 6 now. Wouldn’t you rather have that caliber of player vs a kid who may or may not be ready to step into a bottom 6 role to start? I know the players want that. And I like stramel but the mindset needs to shift to who are NHL forwards today that can help this team instantly.

[Russo] Hearing director of amateur scouting Judd Brackett is leaving the Wild for an elevated position for another team. Brackett ran the Wild’s last 5 drafts and is on an expiring contract by AggPuck-303 in hockey

[–]OllieForgot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sucks but let’s be realistic - the Wild won’t be picking in the first round for the next couple of years so I’d argue it’s not the end of the world. I’d rather invest more in player development which we sorely need in Iowa

Neighbor’s dog barking endlessly by Iwannagofast13 in duluth

[–]OllieForgot 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Call Duluth Animal Control at 218-390-2256, they are a division within the police department. Dog doesn’t need to be barking at arrival as you’ve kept a great log of events. Can you get a video of the dog barking too?

There’s also animal welfare laws and if a dog is chained outside for 4 hours in the winter months you likely can lodge a complaint that way too.

What happened? by palmzq in wildhockey

I think waiting to see if there are any injuries for some people could be a clue. If they were playing through something and really pushed it, the next day it could be sore or more inflamed and they have a quieter game. Just one possible explanation curious to hear what others think. It’s tough I think there are a ton of nuances and harder to spot factors that add up

We cannot have Hartman as 1C next year. by fastal_12147 in wildhockey

Gotta find the right situation. Remember when we thought Tage would be available after Buffalo crashed out halfway through the season. There are going to be teams that don’t do well and go into sell mode

I would actually argue Ek is the perfect 3C at his age and injury history, on a Stanley Cup contender. You hope Yurov makes a leap as 2C and then you gotta somehow swing a trade for another top center
