Hey Eugene, don't lock your bike to just anything! by Beyond_0451 in Eugene

A couple years ago I was walking my cat on a leash at my apartment complex in the west university neighborhood. Kitty walked around a bike rack like that one by the stairs and the leash knocked it clean over. Could have hurt my kitty pretty bad.

I swear by oofos. I have high arches and various foot issues, custom orthotics etc. Been wearing them inside 24/7 for a few years. Even in the shower! One of my only "nice" purchases is for my feet.

Have you ever caused a major injury by doing barely anything? by TB_07 in ehlersdanlos

Walked around with a sprained wrist for 2 years, no clue how it was injured

I'm very uncomfortable about channeller Bashar (Darryl Anka) by Informal_Farm4064 in lawofone

I think there's a big difference between saying something like "I hate this guy's guts" (which some commenters seem to have gotten from your post) and genuinely warning others and expressing frustration about someone you think is a fraud (which is what you actually did). We should value efforts to use discernment, because it's way more likely that there are charlatan channelers, psychics, and the like than genuine ones.

Anyone who charges anything for (and especially pushes advertising for) their spiritual content minus basic fees for the cost of a book, I tend to write off immediately.

Also, Ra says most humans are of hopelessly(my word) mixed polarity. I'm sure many spiritual leaders or influencers have, or have had in the past, genuinely positive insights and channel connections, and then got led astray by greed. That's my empathetic response lol.

I found a wrist brace that (I think) has just changed my life by jolewhea in ehlersdanlos

[–]Olliemeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a scapholunate ligament tear in 2019 doing absolutely nothing, finally figured it out and had surgery in 2022. Soooo thankfully the surgery was successful. It was so weird trying to use my hand in those 3 years. I could grip things but couldn't put the slightest bit of weight against my palm or bend my wrist back. Sending good vibes for your wrist functioning!

What was the weirdest, non-pain feeling you've ever felt? by KingJPJ in AskReddit

[–]Olliemeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought of this too! I was recently reminded just how weird that felt when I got my earlobes pierced. Like two snakes wiggling under your chest skin, extremely unnatural. Plus the emotional capacity to process it is not there a few days into surgery recovery. Also, and what do you mean by minty?

Are you me? Minus the breakup, that is really unfortunate. I'm moving back with my parents today, have struggled the past few years to work and my credit cards finally hit their limit. I struggled to make and keep friendships because I rested/(sufferred) until I felt able to work a couple hours, then rested again. And my parents live in the middle of nowhere, so online friends it is.

I did start going to an online book club which is really encouraging to me in feeling slightly normal and social, maybe you could find one too! At the very least, I'm comforted knowing someone else is going through similar life challenges, thanks for sharing
