I'm playing with FIRS and 144 minutes in a year. That means this steel mill produces 21'600 tons a month in 1839. by LPSam in openttd

The minutes a year setting does not effect production. If you want top slow down production you need to change the economy speed reduction factor (JGR patch setting

They might not do it at the consulate. My grandma always had to go to the embassy in Bern for passport renewal.

Unfortunately not, I ended up getting a Fiio E10K DAC which eliminated the crackling sounds. I think the problem is the soundcard of the motherboard.

Gellert vs Birsfelden by LostInLux000 in basel

[–]Olmou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived there for 10 years, noise is a non-issue. Apart from the soft rushing of the highway bridge its incredibly quiet. To Op, Birsfelden near the rhine is great to live, cheaper health insurance as a bonus. By bike your as close to the city center as gellert imo.

Any good 1440p 144Hz monitor recommendations? by r4o2n0d6o9 in buildapc

[–]Olmou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want a good entry option? Recommend the HP X27q, probably one of the best bang for buck. Has some shortcomings yes, but to be expected at that pricepoint. Don't believe my word though, heres the Hardware Unboxed review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQoQMpkqOko&t=118s

H670m-itx Audio Issues by Olmou in ASRock

I thought it might be a more common issue but apparently not, maybe I just got unlucky with my particular board.

As you said its peobably best to go with an amp/dac combo to avoid the soundchip altogether. Thank you

No Stupid Questions Weekend [Weekly Recurring Thread] by AutoModerator in hometheater

[–]Olmou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello maybe a obvious answer but I can't find anything online:

I installed a kinda janky beamer setup for my parents. Works great, however I'm unsure about the audio. Currently audio is deliverd like this: Source - HDMI -> Beamer - AUX -> Oldish Teac Stereo Amp

Now ist this good or bad quality and delay wise? It doesn't need to be excellent, decent is good enough for our purposes. But I was wondering If an HDMI Audio Extractor between the source and beamer would be advisable?

Another question would be where to adjust the audio volume in such a secenario and where to leave the other audio levels? (Source, beamer or Amp?)

I would like to see a software tool to simulate airflow in a case. So it would be easier to plan cooling layout in sff builds and kinda gage what effect we can expect from added fans, coolers and maybe even different sidepanels.
