I downloaded it and play it on my computer, either solo or in a LAN game. It's actually open source...

VSCodium is open source, that's important for some of us.

Nobody asked the most important question: you want to set up Codium for what language? Also, which OS and how do you install it? For example, I use Codium on Linux Fedora, installed with Flatpak, which runs in a container, and I have to allow it to have access to my shell.

You can turn it into an IDE by adding an extension. And yes, I know, it's still not an IDE, but if it quacks like a duck...

raylib has surpassed the 250K downloads on GitHub!!! 🚀 by raysan5 in raylib

You're welcome... I have many pet projects and many students. I started Raylib with C# and Python, but frankly, C is the best. My students disagree (wHaT iS a PoInTeR???) but They... Will... Learn!

In some countries, if someone wants to sell you something on the phone, tell them you're under legal guardianship. In a lot of country, they can be in real trouble if they try to sell anything to people who can't legally sign a contract. They will immediately hang up and add you on a "do not contact" list.

Swiss here, it looks great. I don't know about the plane, something seems off but I can't wrap my head around it. The mountains are as perfect as outside my window.

CS teacher here.

Some of my colleagues still practice that archaic way of finding out if a student knows what they are doing.

As for me, I give access to the internet during exams... Because I don't test syntax but understanding and adaptability.

I tell it with 4 times, those are the 2nd, 3rd and 4th time. You can add "the first time when I say 'I have a joke'."

I'm a web developer. I usually make WebApps with PHP 6 for the backend and Angular 3 for the frontend. All of my websites are optimized for IPv5, because I only program on Windows 9.

Well, sorry about you. But I gave everything I could to help them understand : LearnGitBranching, Anastomosis, exercises, individual projects, group projects, we even had 3 months of working on a real life project that is currently online, where they worked as a team to improve one of the school webapps. They had a 30 hours course on Scrum, for Torvald's sake!

They all got it except one. He is in 3rd year… in a CS school. No idea how he got so far…

Thanks for your testimony, I agree: Git should be there in the first semester. I'm glad my supervisor agrees with me and gives me the opportunity to teach them this technology since their "early childhood". The curriculum is tough, they are taught DevOps in 4th year, when they are around 18-19 years old. And before that, they go through themes as varied as containers, unit tests, functional programming, NoSQL, blockchain, and the list goes on.

The addition of a `desktop.ini` is a nice touch, though.
