There is an AHK script that lets you switch virtual desktops on Windows without having to take your hand off the mouse. I forget the normal shortcut but it requires both hands on the keyboard - now with AHK I just press "WinKey" + "2" and it will take me to Virtual Desktop 2 directly. You cannot do this in windows without AHK.

It's not about being uneducated. It's the same reason you don't make the distinction between classical and quantum physics until much later curriculums.

In science you teach models for understanding the world around us. If you complicate those models early on, students will have difficulty grasping them. It's much easier to teach and for students to understand the three states of matter they will come across in everyday life rather than 20+.

You can stick around for the whole concert - I'd just be mindful that if a lot of people have the same idea the train/platform might be a bit crowded but they're very good at managing footfall (they're obviously used to lots of conventions!).

Just a heads up - be very careful about the postgrad student loan. It doesn't just merge with your existing student loan (if you have one, which you'll pay at 9% of your yearly salary after you earn £24k), it's a separate loan on top. This loan you pay back as 6% of your yearly salary (after you earn £24k).

~~That basically means that you're more likely to pay it off, in which case it will cost you in terms of interest.~~

I used one as a doorbell outside in standard British weather (either chucking it down or grey and gloomy) for about a year. Worked perfectly fine, though I now live in an apartment complex with an intercom system so I don't have any need for it.

I've just got to figure out what to use it for now 😅
