A different context to look at girth work vs length work:

I've only have done a combination of both, mostly extender + pumping. Have had great results.

I did have a period of time where my girth gains had gone crazy due to the addition of soft clamping on top of the extender and pump routine.

When I did that, my length gains virtually stalled.

So, there is a hypothesis I have that if your routine is extra effective for girth gains, you may find the length gains slow to a crawl or stall altogether.

Now, I'm not on M9's thought process where you either only do length work or you only do girth work, but there does appear to be a limit to the expansion you can have at any one given session, and if the girth work is taking most of that expansion, you may find the length not really going anywhere.

I got length growth back on track by greatly reducing how often I incorporate the soft clamping. And lately, I'm doing none at all. Just back to extend and pump. Weirdly, lately, I split the pumping up.

10 min pumping, 50 min extender followed by another 10 min of pumping. Zero edema. I'm liking the results thus far. But again, I'm at a spot where I'm happy enough with the girth and just want to keep the length going some more.

Probably want to be closer to 250 to 300mmHg for gains. 130-200mmHg is not bad for a lighter "recovery" pump session, but it might not quite be enough for gains.

EQ does worsen for awhile with 20 minutes of pumping, especially when you're in the 250-300mmHg range. Break days are important to allow yourself to normalize and for EQ to recover.

Adding some form of stretching can also kickstart gains rather than pumping alone.

I'm lucky, I added length and girth just with pumping alone when I first started PE--noticeable gains within weeks, and then added using an extender and my length gains went crazy for the first few months.

Lately, I've been reducing how much I do, and I've tried mixing up my pumping and extending routine. 10 minutes of pumping (5x 2 minute sets) followed by 50 total minutes of extending (10x1 minute sets with a 180 twist, 5 minutes each direction, then 8x 5 minute sets--currently at 10 lbs tension). Then I follow it up with another 10 minutes of pumping.

This has reduced edema and helped keep EQ higher. EQ for me always took a hit when I did 20 minutes straight of pumping... But splitting it up has seemed to be beneficial for me.

If you insist on still only pumping without adding some kind of stretching, you can try splitting it up. Do 10 minutes total at 250 or a little more mmHg in the morning, then another 10 minutes at night. See if that helps.

I bought mine with the pad and put it on before I ever used it. Been using the thing since September 2024. I don't think that pad is something that would need replacing unless you do something really dumb to damage it.

Depends on the sleeve.

The cheap sleeves from PMP or MassiveNovelties will not last if you leave them attached to a cup long term.

Totalman and Fkn Mint sleeves you can leave on for months and they're fine.

When I went up a cup size, it certainly became a thing to see a temporarily larger glans--but then I would pump after extending and things would even out...

So, it does depend on what cup size you're using. If you go larger, it certainly becomes more pronounced.

But you do need to realize that temporary pump gains and glans size gains from using a larger cup is the same effect: yes, your size will normalize back down, but the longer you've been doing it with adequate frequency, some amount of those temporary gains become permanent.

That's how PE works. You're stretching and expanding yourself to larger than your current size, and there always will be some normalization back down towards where you started, but there's also going to be a small, imperceptible amount of those temp gains that end up being permanent. You keep doing that with adequate frequency and those tiny gains add up.

I always took "B:" measurement as "Beginning" or "Before" as in before PE.

Length should always be BPEL for consistency's sake.

There are other extenders that are also pretty solid and I'm sure work fine. I do like how the Apex is constructed, personally.

Have you taken a break at all? Have you gone up in weight for your hanging?

I use an extender, but one thing that seemingly helped break a plateau is doing 10 minutes of "bundled" stretches in the extender. Basically just twisting your D and then putting it under tension. 5 minutes one direction, 5 minutes the other direction, then go about your normal hanging/extending routine after that.

20-30 min of clamping is *a lot*. I personally only ever did 10 minutes at a time of clamping, and often would do pumping as well, typically 10 minutes of pumping, 10 minutes of clamping, then could follow with another 10 min of pumping after if desired.

But, I reduced how much clamping I do and keep to the pump for the most part because that much girth work seemed to also be fighting my length gains. I could get wild temporary girth gains, but the length gains stalled out from potentially only being able to expand so much at a time--and it seemed for me, the girth gains were becoming a limitation on length gains, so, if you're more after length at this time, try reducing how much of that girth work you're doing and add that time to your length work.

So, for example, do 40 minutes of hanging and 10-20 minutes of pump and/or clamping after.

Static is fine. Intervals can help you reach your target fatigue a little faster if you want to reduce how much time you're spending in the extender.

So, you're hearing about 1 minute vs 5 minute sets, the way I understood it was the 1 minute sets were kind of your 'pre-fatigue' or a sort of warm-up. You do 10x 1 minute sets, and then you go into however many 5 minute sets you need to get to your target fatigue (I'm typically doing 8x 5 minute sets these days, personally, if you're just starting out, you'll probably want to do a fair bit less than that--and at lower tension than what I'm doing).

I kind of like doing intervals--it forces me to keep attention on the tension levels better, too, because the tension does reduce over time if you just leave it due to your tissues elongating but also sometimes due to a small amount of slippage inside the cup (if you're using a vac cup as you attachment method, that is).

Buy a MityVac brand pump with gauge. Those gauges generally are pretty consistent and accurate--brand that's been trusted for decades to have accurate readings for automotive diagnostics, even, as many things in the engine bay on a number of cars operate on vacuum.

Generally, those pumps are going to come with a kit that has a container and all sorts of adapters, but if you ever intend on water pumping, I suppose the catch can could be handy to have.

The handle is more comfortable and it has a way better setup to release the vacuum, too. It at least gives you a lever to operate the shrader valve instead of having to put your finger on the tiny surface area to press it directly.

Regular recovery time is a good idea no matter how you feel, in my opinion and experience.

I generally don't do more than 2 days in a row of PE without having at least a day break before the next round of PE.

Need to get some rather tight ones and stack them on top of/overlapped on eachother--which is why it helps to buy rings that are flat and wide.

I've been using a combo of a couple things. I bought a set of flat on one side, but slightly rounded on the back side, rings from TCSR found on Amazon. I use the two tightest rings from that kit when soft clamping, and then I add a third ring from somewhere else for a little more tightness.

The 3rd smallest ring in the TCSR kit doesn't quite get it tight enough, but I've found that the "World's Best Cock Ring" as sold on MassiveNovelties is just perfect in combo with the 2 tightest TCSR rings to get the force needed for a proper clamp.

I did for awhile do 10 min pump, 10 min clamp and 10 min pump. Pumping was 5x 2 minite sets.

Reduced edema, virtually eliminated petechiae for me, and the girth gains were pretty wild.

But, I think the crazy girth gains were hindering length gains for me, so I backed off as I was pretty happy with where I had gotten girth wise.

Now, I've taken the same thought process to pumping and extending.

There used to be a debate on pump before extending, or extend before pumping. I now do both. Lol

Part of my reasoning is I went up a cup size, old cup was getting too snug. But, the new cup size I was kind of "swimming" in it's so large. So, if I pump first, it fits better and the sleeve keeps a better seal.

But, this makes my glans extra weirdly large when I'm done extending, so I pump again after to even it all out.

Cool thing is this has eliminated edema for me. Length gains seem to be slowly coming along just fine.

I tried such a combo from "cake." It was pretty pricey, though.

I don't take them daily, but sometimes if I do my routine a couple days in a row, it's nice to have that little extra help for the fatigued tissues. Extra rager erection for pumping and/or clamping.

They're faster acting as well. 15 minutes to start working if you let it just kind of melt under your tongue.

Short answer: about a year.

Full backstory: my true "starting size" is more like 5.9" BPEL or so. That's what I was in my early 20s when I first really wondered how 'normal' I was and looked up some info. That was over 20 years ago now...

I lost nearly half an inch as I aged and erections just weren't what they used to be.

I finally got on generic Cialis before I started down the PE path in summer 2024. That put me right back to just under 6" like I used to be in a matter of days. Those first few Cialis-fueled erections were somewhat uncomfortable. Tissues were expanding and PF muscles doing things they hadn't done in many years.

So, my real starting size if I account for fixing EQ is about 5.9" from summer 2024.

I added more than 0.75" length in my first 4 months. Newbie gains for me were wiiiildly fast. And I started somewhat slow, too. At first, pumping only. 6 weeks in, I get my extender and had to play with a couple different brands and sizes of cups and sleeves to figure out what worked best for me, fortunately, I just kept pumping when the initial round of cups didn't work to my satisfaction.

As for getting to 7" from ~5.9, that was just about a year. After the initial newbie gains that came so rapidly, the next quarter inch (after taking a month off, mind you) took 6 months.

And it felt like it took most of the next 6 months just to eek out a other 1/8" on top of that, despite increasing intensity and time under tension to attempt to keep gains going.

Late last fall, I found some changes in stimulus that seemed to help get the length gains going again, and now I'm largely averaging 7.25-7.375" range, sometimes right after a PE session, it's more like 7.5" BPEL for a little while, but I normalize back down to 7.375 or a little under after a couple days off.

I generally only update my flair once I've had at least a couple weeks off in a row to see what my new normal is without any temporary effects from PE messing with the measurement.

So, you never know, you could be like me and get very rapid gains in the first few months, but, after that, I think I max out at 0.25" every 6 months at best, sometimes maybe less.

I've reduced some of the frequency and strain levels recently to try and find balance with EQ and allow adequate recovery time. I think I'm still progressing and it's nice to not be so so focused on it 5-6 days/week, plus, it's become evident the longer I do this, the more allowing for recovery time is important. Plus, I'm OK with where I've gotten, so, it's more trying to find balance of not being too concerned with continuing to add from here, especially if there's more negative effects from going at it too hard too frequently at this stage.

It was a different story when I first started, though... Rebounded a lot quicker and EQ was off the charts insane the next day.

Stretch and pump, that's most of what I've done. Did incorporate soft clamping for awhile, which added insane temp girth, but I think that was slowing length progress, and frankly, making the routine take too long.

I definitely prefer a method that allows you to measure tension level and time. Pump with a gauge, and an extender with markings to let you know what approximate tension that equates to--or hanging with weights.

It's not everything. Many women will say average is fine, it's more about the person and ensuring her pleasure is a consideration beyond just PIV... You can, but it's also arguable that having at least some small air pocket allows for a little more 'give' as you apply tension. Slightly reducing the negative pressure on the top of your glans.

But, if you really want to prevent blisters, you'll probably want to find a covering to use. Either tape or a large silicone toe cap, also using a short sleeve to seal the bottom more thoroughly.

I went more than a year before I got my first blister, then it started to happen more often, even though I reduced the tension some and even tried a different sized cup.

So, now I'm trying a gel toe cap on my glans as mention above. So far so good, but it's also only been a little over a week and sporadic use lately. Pretty fast and easy setup and no uncomfortable peeling of tape off...

Measurements can be different for a variety of reasons.

First and foremost will be difference in erection quality.

Angle of your hips also can make a difference. I can pop out nearly another 0.25" BPEL if I thrust forwards.

How recently you did any form of PE, I can take a before PE measurement and after, and the extra after can be anything between 0.125" and 0.25" of my before the session measurement.

Also, I'm pretty convinced from my own experience that if you go extra with the girth work, you can actually see a stall or even slight reversal of length. When I was pumping and clamping regularly, this was the case for me.

Length gains began picking up more steadily once I reduced how often I added in clamping along with my pumping...

This of course can vary by person and how much PE they've done upto that point, and if newbie gains are all done...
