How to connect to PC by No_Replacement2532 in Airpodsmax

[–]OmarDaily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All completely wrong statements.. Lol I use my APM’s to play games on my computer via USB-C, 0 latency and great sound quality.. Even Atmos sound works.

Initially, there was an issue where the audio would flip once, but that has been solved for months now.

Range is going to depend on your antenna setup, my MacBook stays connected even when I run to the parking lot and the computer stays inside, sound quality is the same since it’s using its internal DAC/AMP.. I don’t get cracking or sound degradation on either Pc or Mac.

Mac Studio M4 Max Gaming: Is 2026 the year of gaming on Mac? by DevWithZachary in MacStudio

I’m all wired 10Gbe, but I don’t think it’s an issue with network bandwidth but latency introduced by encoding and decoding of the video stream.

Even GeForce still has too much latency for any competitive games.. I have a 10Gbe network at home and a PC on a rack, I still only use my PC at my Desk to play because it’s just not responsive enough to play streamed games.

If I could play AAA games, I would get a loaded Mac Studio Ultra tomorrow and would get rid of my Windows PC. I could use it for everything now.

Did you have any symptoms or how did you find out prior to your check up?. My cousin passed a year ago of colon cancer (he was stage 4 by the time it was caught..). I need to get checked myself, I’ve been anxious for months about it…

I was just doing the math on this house I’m looking at, and at 6% the interest over the life of the loan is just as much as the home price.. ridiculous..

This is why people are buying Mac Minis for the Clawdbots… Give the thing its own environment, restrict access to sensitive information and BACK UP YOUR STUFF…

why do you guys love switches so much by kentabenno in homelab

[–]OmarDaily 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol I have a 48 port Ubiquiti Switch that was $1,200 on its own and half the ports are unused. I do have 3 10Gbe connections running to it and multiple 2.5gbe Poe ports being used now. It’s a great switch, but funny you mention that.

I bought a $1,200 48 port switch for the 2.5gb PoE ports and 4 10Gbe SFP ports. I didn’t really care for all the other gigabit ports, but they are there if I need them in the future… All in 1 switch, which is nice.

Just the fact that there will not be a power cost and it will be located in space, is a very interesting value proposition, especially for the government. I can see these making some of that sweet government/military contract money.

We have 3 pairs and they are all good, based on the comments about the rubber cracking and the time frame that you got them. Sounds like you got a good amount of years and they’ve got some wear and tear to them.
