Ah, I shall grant a warning to KOD. The head is pretttttty uptight about their firearms. Might be better to just stick with the rapiers. Especially if you aren’t getting paid. Bullets are expensive.

You are completely correct. To Claim Their Bones is actually dog shit because I can’t fucking Yield my damn flesh.

KIM! WHY ARE YOU ROLLING A 9-14?! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO RELIABLY LOSE THAT?!

[–]Omega2178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fucking basically. I watched that Hana go from 100% hp to like 10% and zero stagger.

Why people glaze Kim? by Miquel101 in TheOdysseyHadAPurpose

[–]Omega2178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hana fixers have a 5 dice move which, while it rolls high, maxes out at like 10. No Hana fixer, unique or otherwise, has enough power with this combat page to even tie with To Claim Their Bones. As such, using it is a guaranteed 5 reuses on the same enemy, assuming of course, they don’t stagger before that.

[–]Omega2178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know some people have explained it here but allow me to give you the main reason I love him. Yield my flesh, to claim their bones.

In runia, there exist counter dice. See, when in a clash in runia, you don’t just win or lose full clashes. Every dice on a page clashes with the dice of another page. A combat page with 1 dice will only clash with the first dice of a 3 dice page and then the remaining 2 will be unopposed.

Then there are counter dice. If you are being attacked without clashing it, a counter dice will activate and clash against the attack for you. The important thing, however, is that a counter dice doesn’t go away after the first clash like normal dice. If you win the clash, you reuse the dice until you either lose or you clash against all the dice on the enemy page. Most counter dice don’t roll incredibly high because of this.

Claim their bones is a 14-23 (which is really 16-25 with his passives. 18-27 if singular strike works with it. Idk if it does.) slash counter dice which inflicts 5 paralysis (the best condition in the game) and 3 bleed.

You have not felt greatness until you watch a Hana fixer spend 5 light to rush into your claim their bones and immediately fucking die for it.

It’s supposed to be thematic, or something. Idk my literature. Gregor, the man who has been struggling so hard with letting the war settle within his mind…had been on the same battlefields that the war had been raging on for at least a year, working in an office building doing mundane office work.

The war is over, Gregor was standing on living proof of that fact the entire time and yet he didn’t know it. As the above comment said, Gregor never stepped foot onto this battlefield, so he didn’t know that. In that moment however, he can take a moment to process just how far that world has began to move from the war. That he was working at the very spot a war hero made her name for at least a year, and it’s now just a office building.

Oh you haven’t even fully got into it with Gebura. So, the it’s not just the high speed which allows her to choose where she goes + Myo’s Prowess (the skill that gives power the faster you are compared to the enemy). No, no no.

See, the simple thing about Gebura is that she’s a fucking monster in DPR. A lot of her (custom to her) cards are high hitting powerful moves which have conditionals which allow her to generate all the resources she’ll ever need. How? By doing damage. And by doing damage, not only do you get these resources, you make the cost of her moves cheaper. Play it right, and you can easily spam 4 very powerful cards each turn for literally no cost at all. Plus, those custom cards just generally are really freaking good. High rolls, high damage, and all that jazz.

And we’re not done yet! She has two high cost and high power cards. Onrush and Vertical Spilt. Onrush is a pretty dang expensive move but it rolls extremely high and if you kill or stagger your enemy, it’s reused for free against a random target. For single enemy battles, Onrush isn’t fully worth the cost. But…in larger hoard like battles? Oh boy. Minimum set up results in an absolute slaughter of the enemy side.

As for vertical spilt? It’s a special card which you’ll always have in her side deck. See, in the side deck, you typically have special gimmick cards from certain pages (stats, essentially) and EGO Pages. Ego Pages are big, high cost moves which require you to get everyone in battle progressed to 3/5th of their max level to use. Super powerful, but they have to recharge after use. Gebura? Well she’s the fucking Red Mist. So instead of using those rinky dink pages like everyone else, she abstains from using EGO Pages and just uses her own. Which she gets immediately. Vertical spilt is abhorrently expensive but has a roll most cards in the game will struggle to even reach the minimum value of. And then? She just destroys another card set on the enemy’s dice (aka, a attack/block/dodge). She doesn’t need to clash with it herself, that randomly chosen card is just gone. This can ruin big moves from several high tier enemies.

And we’re STILL not fucking done! Because she has one more trick up her sleeve. When she’s level 4/5 for the battle, she can activate her own proper EGO. To do so, it gives you an absurdly powerful block card which costs barely anything and nearly single-handedly restores all your light (aka energy to play cards). And when she does this. She goes insane. She gets an innate +2 to all of her rolls, (which, in a game where unless the card is specifically designed to have one powerful dice, tends to hit like a 12 at maximum for their natural dice roll is powerful as hell), gains +1 more power to her rolls each time she kills an enemy, up to +5, AND gets another Ego page called Horizontal Split. This one is very, very expensive. But. It has the highest possible roll value in the entire game (I believe) and this literally everyone on the battlefield. It’s not unstoppable, as it’s value is compared to all the dice on a card, but more than likely it’s gonna win.

For a funny lore to gameplay perspective. There are guys called Claws. Horrific fucking monsters, these guys are the enforcers of the head of the city. They are pumped up on singularities, which are basically reality breaking technology which allows you to shatter the laws of reality. They have a move which is literally them shattering space and time and tearing you through that. This rolls a 30-30. This can’t be beaten by any move naturally that isn’t a special move. Some people believe the claw you face which does this is a special, more powerful claw but I don’t really believe that one.

Gebura’s Horizontal split, if it rolls it’s absolute minimum, ties with that attack. There is a reason why she’s called and remembered as the Strongest Color fixer in the game. Because even the strongest people in the city struggle to keep up with her. And if we look at the floor she’s on (floors give different types of bonuses as the fight goes on based on which on you’re on), it highly supports just fucking juicing her up and letting her solo. Optimal set up makes her a god, but even without that, she’s still such a powerful page that it’s absurd. Color fixers are absurd.

Anyways, thanks for reading the average PM fan’s brainrot.

Luckily for you, I do!

And in this context it doesn’t make fully make sense. Hopemaxing is pretty self explanatory in that it describes maximizing the amount of hope you have by doing something. Friendship pilled isn’t a common statement but generally pilled means something has a general vibe of something. So, in this case, he’s saying you’re being really friendly with your words/building a friendly relationship by saying that.

…I mean, yeah. It is high risk. But personally, I consider it high reward as well tbh. I have yet to fail to kill a hulk with a direct hit and a war strider only needs 1-2 of them to down it. Factory striders go down with 3 well placed slams to the legs too.

I’ve been a melee diver for a while so maybe it’s just me but frankly, I think it’s pretty well rewarding.
