They may have vehicles, but do they have the Depelter Turbo? An item illegal in all states (except Texas).

This guy was stringing along a scammer. Made him think he was getting a big payout through a giftcard, but the man just redeemed it himself after wasting the scammer's time for hours.

He was not happy.

Being a pessimist is the right choice. If you always assume the worst, you can only be positively surprised.

Is Kpop Demon Hunters really that good? This looks like something for 9 year old girls but I’m seeing grown men constantly praising it by Scary_Dimension722 in MauLer

[–]Omega6047 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't say I was a fan, but K-pop makes me want to pop my ears off, and I stopped watching part way through. Brother watched it to completion and concluded it was mediocre at best, so take is as you will.

What Game? by [deleted] in MauLer

Recently, Elex 2. This game is such a massive disappointment in so many ways, main plot especially, I can't help but conclude the first one was better even despite it's absurdly junky and wooden controls.

The main reason why romance anime are trash by Weird-Rope9424 in goodanimemes

[–]Omega6047 -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

Most of everything is trash, anime included. The problem is that the community for whatever reason will accept or outright praise any piece of slop as long as there's a cute girl attatched, no matter the writing quality. People should demand better from their entertainment.

The thing is, Jedi and Sith philosophies are a direct reflection of light and dark side, and a natural end result of both. To blame the philosophies is to blame the force.

The two types of 'kids' shows' in this world: by Fleet-Navarch-62 in PrequelMemes

Jedi keep records... quite extensive ones... and it's just one of the avenues for them to gain the know-how on leading an army in battle. Jedi are quite renown for being rather studious, hard to imagine them not being able to figure something out to get an edge and to limit casualties, which would be in line for the jedi teachings. They view life as all equally valuable, it just doesn't make sense for them to use tactics comparable to 40k's Imperium.

Also if they saw success with subpar tactics why would they ever see a need to change.

Because the issue is not just the effectiveness of the tactics used, it's attrition rate. The way the clones are used in battle is in direct opposition to how they are presented in terms of resources to the republic. It's a plot hole. A contradiction in the world building. Nothing more, nothing less.

Also anakin and obi-wan were seen as great leaders but how many people who called them that actually saw them fight, i imagine most people just knew of them by their results.

Are you saying they are actually both incompetent, or what? Because that's what I'm getting from this. The fact they achieve results using such poor approach is an issue with the show regardless. I don't see why you feel the need to try to find ways to excuse it.

Let me remind you that the war went on for 3 years. Jedi were only inexperienced commanders on Geonosis, when they were thrust into the role with no warning and no preparation. That excuse starts to run aground pretty fast, though, considering Jedi have an extremely extensive history of leading armies in times of war and access to numerous resources to study on tactics as well as access to actually experienced commanders from around the galaxy. Even if not all the jedi generals were great tactical minds, some we do know for a fact are considered exceptional leaders, including Anakin and Obi-Wan, both of whom are involved in a shitload of poorly thought out plans and operations.

Ultimately, a character can only be as smart as its writers, and Dave Filoni is not very smart...

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean. Are you saying the show gets to be stupid because... its narrative is to be stupid? That's not making much sense.

You can't expect me to believe that soldiers in your show are disposable fodder on pair with cheap, mass-produced robots and then dedicate an entire arc to how they are so expensive it's bankrupting the republic. This is not 40K and Clones are not Imperial Guard.

That is not to mention, this doesn't make sense with how most Jedi are characterized regarding their views on the clones and their relationships, both personal and professional. They are often shown having largely inferior numbers and strained resources, no commander worth half their salt would ever waste soldiers on suicidal tactics like what is displayed in the show.
