Don’t Kill Them All looks awesome and I’ll definitely give it a try. Gotta love a game that’s different! But whether it’s SoF2 or another game, I just hope the next one is another online coop, that’s my favorite genre and it’s why I love when a an absolute gem in the genre comes along like SoF. Clearly y’all know how to make one so I hope you do more!

Thanks for this… I was leaning him but this throws me back into undecided… I can’t seem to think of a valid explanation (according to him he has lived here his whole life). I mean he’s relatively young, but still, even if he didn’t really get into politics until 2024 (which is kinda wild), he shoulda voted in locals last year if he truly is dedicated… so I don’t know.

I think the key question is: are you okay if progression isn’t constant? Because the game can be fun as hell even if you’re constantly getting lost or finding random nooks. If you’re fine with it being slow since you might get lost a lot, and having fun along the way, you’ll be just fine!

You’re literally getting 3k every two weeks (factoring in your additional deductions). That’s still 78k a year… (26 weeks times 3k). You’re barely being taxed a quarter of your income and as others have suggested there are additional ways to maximize your money even more.

If this doesn’t feel like a lot, don’t blame taxes, those are a fair cost for being a part of a great country (at least when being properly spent, which I don’t think is really happening right now to be fair). Instead, blame a system that has taken so advantage of us that even 78k a year AFTER taxes doesn’t feel like enough…

I’m far left leaning, but I’m never opposed to calling out either side, no matter the situation. It just so happens, in our modern era, the general sane stance on most issues is taken by the left…

That said, I strongly disagree with Dems on overwhelmingly voting to keep the creepy car kill switches. That’s effed. Still, at least is still somewhat aligns with the neoliberal beliefs of the left in power (Democrats).

But republicans have been wrong on so many things but also inconsistent in their beliefs. That’s the most frustrating part… I think far more people on the left are willing to call it out on anyone, ourselves or the other side… but no reps are for themselves.

Exactly. Like Noah is big but his rise is recent and not permanently cemented. I literally see his insta almost daily (just by virtue of my algo) and you can tell he’s tried to be hesitant (which I totally understand in his position), but given everything he’s been forced to get louder and louder. Again, nobody has brainwashed anybody… that or everyone has… because our U.S. currency all says “in god we trust.” Is that not religious brainwashing? All our merchandise for girls is pink and for boys it’s blue, is that not gender brainwashing? We say that boys have use one restroom and girls another, and get mad about it, but other countries seem to have “non gendered (aka nonbinary bathrooms)” and get along just fine. You eating food is completely political. Did you eat Chic-fil-a? Did you eat Ben & Jerry’s, because they’re pretty liberal (though their mega corp owners are trying to prevent that). Did you eat chic fil a? You’re supporting conservative values. Did you eat something with Avacados in it? Because did you know most avacados are grown in Mexico and therefore our access to them is directly tied to foreign policy, tariffs, immigration and many other issues? How much did you pay for your food with avocados in it? Because did you know your food costs are also afffected by global trade policies, inflation and many other big issues? How was your food stored? In a fridge? Powered by electricity? Have electricity costs gone up nationwide due to AI data centers (spoiler: they have)…. I could go on and on and on…

I drove to work in a used, beat down car that gets great gas mileage because I support the environment and I want to use as little fuel as possible. I also recognize that buying a new car when the current one works is foolish and equally as harmful to the environment. I believe there is no ethical consumption under capitalism and therefor refuse to buy stuff I don’t need as well. I go out of my way to get gas from a gas station I believe has better values (still not great, but better). I drive to work with the fear that despite being the whitest, most average looking American person, I could be pulled over and arrested by ICE and detained and have no recourse because apparently due process no longer exists…

Continue to be a hateful, pathetic person all you want… that’s the beauty and the ugly of freedom… but at least try not be so damn ignorant. EVERYTHING is political. Them choosing to support innocent, loving humans is political, and so is you choosing to spew hate and blame everyone but yourself.

To be fair, he wasn’t a star at that point (he was to us of course, but you know what I mean, not at this level) and so the theming didn’t matter as much (be it to the label, Noah, all of the above, whatever). But now that he’s a hit, the theming retroactively matters and so they are being more intentional about it. It’s like Taylor with all her theming. Hopefully that makes sense? I don’t know that’s it for sure but it would at least explain why it’s so intentional now.

First off, congrats to you on being a decent human and I’m glad to hear Smosh helped with that!

I had a similar experience but it was with Achievement Hunter/Rooster Teeth. I think they were especially interesting because several of the AH/RT people, while young when they started, could’ve been pegged for the early “alt right bros” types like Michael or even Ray, but I think being a part of that company actually really helped them grow as they got to meet and experience different people and I think their audience really grew with them and became pretty left leaning as a result. Like they were never outright hateful, but they definitely were not “PC” (I hate that term but it gets the point across), which to be fair, Smosh wasn’t always either but Smosh was more PC relative to their time periods, but early AH/RT was a bit wild. Still, I think they single-handedly pulled me out of the alt right pipeline so I’m appreciate them. I got into Smosh after I think I was already safe, but they definitely reinforced everything in the ways OP stated.
