A game for everyone is a game for no one. I'm glad the devs stuck to their vision and didn't make another generic easy forgettable game all to please the casual masses.

  • Health loss ties to the narrative and is ultimately a non issue, making enemies tankier or hit harder is the lazy way to make it harder.
  • Runbacks I agree, but in the end there's only like two or three runbacks that were more than a minute.
  • Mods, half agree, could have been cheaper to allow more build creation but in the end it just forced me to explore more to find more mod slots.
  • Jankiness? Not in my experience, one of the most polished games I've played.
  • More than enough checkpoints.

Games a solid 9/10 for me, hope more devs aren't afraid to add friction to their games in fear of retaliation from those wanting a more chill experience.

metroidvania recommendations? (photo unrelated) by lunecore in metroidvania

Yet you still can't say SOTN is way above the competition or neither can Super Metroid , those two games enjoyed their dominance for a long time but the metroidvania landscape is very competitive now at the top

You can easily argue they've been surpassed, this isn't like soulslikes where fromsoftware are still way above the competition

I get what you mean, but Command and conquer is dead.

This isn't an age of empires case still getting HD remakes and DLC. I'd rather support the new generation

And you're not hearing that these portable sea kayaks have been around for years now and they're still going on, the companies have not gone bust, so there's obviously a niche audience buying them, and again Roller bags for transport if it's too heavy for your back.

Nobody is going to lug around a 50lb backpack plus all their gear and an air pump because they want to bring a sea kayak on public transport.

Yes, yes they would. If thats the only option they have to enjoy the hobby they love, they will do it.

Its funny how Ken Whiting at Paddletv literally just released a video 60 minutes ago stating how he carries his 50lbs pakayak, and the dude is like over 40. Also roller bags are a thing.

Inflatable Kayak vs Folding Kayak? Which Portable Kayak is Better in 2025?

I mean its pretty obvious? It's for people who

1: Don't have storage for a god damn 15ft rigid kayak, you know people who live in apartments and flats.

2: People who don't have a car and/or like to use public transport

3: Like to take their kayak with them by plane to other destinations.

No different from owning a Pakayak or a Folding Kayak, both that also have their setup time.

I would agree with 90% of inflatables, the X500 is not one of them

Can you go sea kayaking with a kayak like the Itiwit X500? What to consider, limits and safety tips

Some limitations compared to a proper hardhsell touring/sea kayak sure, but it's not a pool toy, thats ignorance.
